Amazing house on the lake with paddle boards, fire pits, a lovely deck and great hosts. You will love it here - it was the highlight of my trip. Also very close to nearby waterfalls you can hike to.
I had a great visit and will be returning while looking for property on the Lake, Jim and Alex are great hosts and take care of you like family staying in their home. I stayed in the Airstream and had a blast, a definite 1 off experience. Great property if you have a large family as they have lots of options to accommodate a good amount of guests.
Thanks Jim and Alex for all your hospitality during my visit!
My fiancé and I went there recently for a Valentine’s weekend getaway. We could not have picked a better place. The owners are beyond kind. Words cannot describe their hospitality. It was so peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view. There’s so much to do there. We went right after a cold front passed through, so we didn’t get to experience the lake. We went to Cullman to see Ave Maria Grotto, Clarkson Covered Bridge, and Highway Pickers Antique Mall and Flea Market on Sunday. We went to Rickwood Caverns to look at a cave and walk on Fossil Trail on Monday. We had meals at Carlton’s Italian and Chipotle along with ice cream at La Michoacanita. There’s so many restaurant choices in Cullman. It was only 30 minutes to Cullman and 50 minutes to the caverns from the cozy Bed and Breakfast. We can’t wait to go back. We plan to schedule another getaway and bring some friends for lake activities. I’ve traveled a lot over the years. This was by far the best when it comes to places to stay. Highly recommended for families, couples, friends, coworkers, and even solo time. Don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at more reviews. They exceeded all my expectations.
Peaceful & serene. Great lil getaway at a semi -secluded location with a great view.
The beautiful scenery, lake and B&B reviews is what drew my interest and then I saw where you could book your reservation in an old Airstream camper with a patio built on. Well, that is what made my mind up about booking two nights. Had all the comforts needed, and even an outdoor shower to boot!
It was a girls only /best friend kinda weekend and we were ready for a break.
Took a few days off work, drove up to Smith Lake thru the scenic back roads of Alabama. Time away was exactly what was needed after the pandemic forced us into social distancing, working from home and spending more days around the house.
The B & B itself was a sweet dream! The dock and floats along with being able to sit and watch the sunset was a real treat. Water was cool, clear and felt great after being in the sun for a bit.
Alex and Jim were wonderful hosts, had the camper loaded with just what was needed for a relaxing time. All the utensils were inside for grilling, a Keurig for morning coffee and even a few light snacks.
They definitely have a beautiful home place on the hill with several decks to see the sunrise or sunset. It is a lil piece of heaven right here in one place.
I do look forward to returning soon!
