“Had some issues starting off with timing and initial cost quotes. After talking with the manager, Steven, everything was worked out. He was very polite and professional, explained everything and worked with me to make things right. The mechanic Milan did an excellent job with the installation and explaining how everything worked, everything works great and looks like it was factory installed. Our initial contact person John was also very friendly and professional. Overall I am pleased with the customer service and quality of work and would recommend them to others.”

“This is an amazing group of very knowledgeable, skilled and friendly mechanics. From now on it is the only place I'll take my VW. Although not cheap, you definitely get what you pay for. They quickly and seemingly easily fixed what three other shops and the dealer could not. They identified incorrect parts installed from a previous repair. I'm confident they can do anything from minor repair to full on restoration. As a bonus, the collection of vintage Porsches in various stages of restoration is fascinating!”

“Purchased a set of tires (Firestone Transforce HT2) for my E350 dually. The crew was extremely quick and professional. I was also informed my front pinion seal was leaking. I wouldn’t have known since I haven’t seen any indications in my driveway. I haven’t purchased Firestone tires before but Firestone has a 90 Day satisfaction Refund / Buy Back program. The tires run quiet and I look forward to see how they perform in the rain. Alaska Tire Service aesthetically looks a little out dated, however their pricing and the quality of service make up for It. I normally do not leave reviews. Alaska Tire Service changed out my tires on a dually in 35 minutes. That’s impressive....”

“Great people and great service! I read all the positive reviews people gave this place and decided to give it a try! I went to their website, booked myself in, and showed up this morning for my appointment. Turns out, my appointment booking went to the wrong email so the mechanic didn't know I was coming, but he still took me! (FYI-they fixed the email situation, but I still recommend calling ahead to make sure they know you're coming!) They addressed all the repairs I asked for and kept me in the loop on what all was going on. My car is notoriously a difficult one as it has been discontinued and parts are few and far between, and they took on the challenge to find and order the parts it needed. When we had some confusion on the service for one of the repairs I requested, they took my car right back to address the actual repair and got it fixed. Their prices were very reasonable and the service was great! When I arrived home, I was experiencing some difficulties with my car door locking and I called them about it and they told me I could bring it right back in and fixed that issue at no extra cost. Very good, upstanding people. They've definitely won my business while we're here in Alaska! I highly recommend them!”

“We showed up on a whim for some work and were immediately helped, which was very nice. The waiting room is great with coffee and water available. What sold the experience for me though was the customer service. Everyone was nice, but the lady who checked us out was exceptional (I didn’t catch her name, but I remember she had some tattoos on her chin). She went over everything they did, and even physically showed us their work to prove everything was in working order; very reassuring!!”
