Bird Creek Motel & RV Park

RV parking was pretty level. Extension cord for power hookup. Online reservations. Near a gas station and highway so there was traffic noise with extra noise currently due to nearby construction. Charged a bed fee on top of posted price even for RV parking. Weak wifi signal in RV parking.

This is the only RV camp spot on Seward Highway between anchorage and portage train station)which I was lucky to have. Owner was really nice. He has owned this motel for more than 20 years. He is very friendly and helpful. I arrived late night and he helped me with electric hook up. We gave him a grill as a token of love(I liked him) because we were gonna leave alaska very next day. Thank you again!

Really helped us out by letting us put our luggage in the room when we had no room in our rental. Had a logistical problem with all the fish we caught. Really was a nice guy.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming! We stayed in a very comfortable room with an extremely comfy bed! Also loved the pillows. Very clean and had coffee and teas. Would definitely come back!

Perfect place for budget travel. Its dated, but the owners take care of it so its nice and clean, and having a kitchen and laundry in the room were really nice. And, the beds and pillows were easily the most comfortable that we slept on in two weeks in Alaska, including some pricier places.

20-30 minute drive to both downtown Anchorage and the Portage Lake/Byron Glacier area, so its a great location for a few days of exploring too. We're looking forward to coming back with our kids.
