(July 9, 2022, 11:39 pm)I first went to Carrs back in 1998 when I moved up to Anchorage for a summer to work after getting married. Since then it has been an institution in our family as we have purchased many groceries there at a reasonable price. Concerns that Safeway's takeover of this store would result in a lowering quality were happily unfounded. Quality, selection, and price remain consistent as they should. It would be nice if prices could come down, but that's a lot to ask of this economy. They have good service and service and they're open at good hours.

(April 5, 2022, 8:17 pm)The employees that work there have all been wonderful. I do appreciate the baggers as they pay attention to how they pack a bag(each and everyone) . I have never had a damaged item
(November 23, 2017, 6:17 pm)The staff here is always friendly and courteous. The produce section always looks amazing. The bakery section also always looks great and the donut cabinet always makes me break my diet. It has a Starbuck's inside and the grocery store as a whole is a good place to pick up what you need. Prices are a little higher than the Fred's which is right down the street though. The building it's in is a little older and it shows once you are outside the Carr's. I gave it a four because there is usually a bit of a wait when trying to check out.
