Great hike up, definitely unforgiving as half way up there were only tracks in the snow to follow. Lovely entries in the cabin log. Has an outhouse. Bring TP, sleeping pads, and kerosene fuel for heating in the cabin (1 gallon/day).
(August 19, 2023, 1:39 am)An unbelievably beautiful hike. The first mile or so has a steady incline on easy ground. But after the abandoned mine, you find unforgiving at times shale rock. Wear good footwear. But it was worth every step in beauty.
(October 6, 2020, 8:22 pm)This is a dreamy hike. Don't be discouraged do this and fulfill that missing part in your life. Absolutely mind blowing. The cabin looks quaint and rustic- rent before you go- you will find happiness here.
