Russian River Campground

Typical Alaskan campground. No water, electric or sewer. However, it is paved. I was disappointed in the noise last night. Someone in the campground played their music too loud. They were on the other side of the loop but sounded like they were next door until 10 pm.

Very well run and kept facility. Great camping spots with beautiful spots. Between two rivers. Lots of fish caught here! Easy in and out for large RV/Motorhomes. Will return!

Long walk to the fishing spot, too crowded of fishermen. We wear wader to cross the river to get to the fishing spot. Ferry ride to the other side cost $12, but it close at 11pm, so you need a wader to cross the river to get back to the campground. Watch for bear coming down the river for fish. Highly suggest to go with folks that familiar with the road. Do not cross the river in high water.

Great access to fishing. Reasonable rates, but you must book in advance or roll the dice on a spot.

Best place to camp in cooper landing for red salmon fishing. Paved throughout no hook ups but each sit has a Punic table and fire pit. Well developed trails along the river. Extremely busy during the first two weeks of the fishing season or the month of June. Almost always have to make reservations months in advance for June and July. Early or later than that there are always a few sites open for drive up folks. Great place for the family, watch out for bears!
