Hatcher Pass Lodge

Went in there to get a a little something to eat and enjoy spectacular views. I got a pie which was pretty good. Go there for the great views. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming. This place does get very crowded. Can’t comment on their accommodations as I didn’t stay there. Overall, worth a visit.

My husband and I live in the Anchorage area, but wanted to have a quick weekend getaway. We booked Cabin #8 and really enjoyed our weekend! There is live music on Saturdays, so many hiking trails to choose from in the area and we went during blueberry season. If you are staying, I highly recommend booking the sauna. It was so much fun to lay in the (freezing) river then running back inside the sauna to warm up. There are plenty of board games, the drinks are delicious and the pies are homemade.

We only went there to have lunch, coffee and cake. It Was rainy outside, and the generous bowl of chili yummy bread 🍞, hit the spot. The apple pie and raspberry pie were also to die for. Great views, great atmosphere. Worth a visit!!

Words cannot describe this place. You have to go there to experience it. I even tried buy into the partnership but failed. The air is fresh, coffee is great and food is amazing. Lodging is very adventurous. Definitely not for people who have issues with walking .
My only complaint, the stairs were very narrow and steep.
