Great fun for the whole family!
The ride is about 45 minutes long with a brief stop halfway to stretch your legs and maybe take a picture or two. Really nice and enjoyable. All the volunteers do a great job and kudos to them all.
What a pleasant surprise! They said it would be 45 minutes including two brief stops, and it was easily that long even though the stops were brief. Multiple miles of circuitous track, with two places where the tracks had an overpass over itself, one over a tunnel and another across an impressive trestle. The miniatures were a bit run-down but easily enough to provide interesting scenery. This easily surpasses the other ride-on miniature train layouts I've experienced, and it was well worth the $10 tickets.
I docked a star purely because the mosquitoes are unusually vicious - not too surprising given "The Black Lagoon" and other water features. To be fair, they warned us and even provided repellent. The ride was definitely worthwhile despite this, but it would be better in a time of year with fewer mosquitoes. (And also, be aware that the road access is via a gravel road.)
Its a really fun thing to go do with the family, also a really cool place. Awsome trains and just a little over 2 miles of track to ride.
Fun little ride, perfect for kids. Those under 4 ride in their car seats. A bit run down and the little miniatures don't change much, but this is run by volunteers and I don't think the kids notice that stuff 😉 We take our young kids each year and both he and she really enjoy it and look forward to it.
Kids had a fantastic time. They have car seats available up to 100lbs. Lots of cool features and they continue to improve each year. This is the first time we went through the tunnel they added.
