My pup and I took two classes with Claudia about 12-13 years ago when my dog was about a year old. I learned so much about communicating and training dogs (applies to most animals, really), priceless knowledge.
I kept working on and off with my pup using her techniques all these years. This year my dog has lost most her hearing (she is 14), but she STILL responds to all the hand signals for basic commands we learned all those years ago.
10/10 taking a class with Claudia is worth it. No matter if your pup is young OR old, OR even if you think you know something about training dogs.
This was our first time. We both agree we will take our baby AND US especially us to every class and who knows maybe much further. Like I said this is our first time so stay tuned for further information about how this goes
I take my belgian malinois puppy to the Better Companion for training and to their Open play. Before taking my puppy there, I used to take my bear dog there.
Their staff is amazing and do a lot of 1x1 training with us. I couldn't imagine a better place to take my dog.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Currently enrolled in star puppy classes and has already proved very beneficial for our pup. We also partake in open play time on Fridays, and it's a fantastic way to let your dog socialize in a controlled environment. Highly recommend
My newly adopted dog recently finished up the beginning Nosework class and we just attended the Shy Dog Workshop. Both were great experiences! I appreciate that the owner of this facility is very experienced and educated on modern, positive training techniques. Like any professional, she knows enough to continue her own education constantly, even though she has been working with dogs for over 20 years and was trained as a veterinarian. I did not want my dog subjected to any rough treatment in the name of "training" and I knew I could trust The Better Companion to help my dog, not hurt her. My dog is more confident and is able to have more fun in new environments now, thanks to the great classes at The Better Companion.
