It's so beautiful here and peaceful. The people that own and operate this place are so friendly and helpful.

Schwager Haus best attribute is its friendly and accommodating atmosphere. It is located aside a beautiful lake and has extremely comfortable cabins for the guests. Thank you Herb & Tina for a wonderful stay. Not only are they great folks, they are also wonderful hosts and cooks. The cabin was perfect along with the wonderful grounds with a lakefront dock and view! I saw my 1st mama moose and baby right from their deck! Herb was able to hook my husband up with a fishing guide for a day trip while I stayed behind and enjoyed the peace and quite (and nature).

I feel like I've made new AK friends and can't wait to return next summer!

We loved Schwager Haus, from the beautiful scenery to the warm cabins and don't forget the Alaskan Bathhouse. Herb and Tina are the ultimate hosts, as well as great chefs. Cannot wait to get back.
