“Bateau is the ONLY of its kind here in Alaska! I moved here from Miami 6 years ago and when my husband and I got engaged I literally started looking at tickets to go down to california or seattle for the weekend to pick out the perfect wedding dress. I thought surely there were no places that carried the whimsical beauties and styles like BHLDN here in AK. Someone recommended I should check out bateau and though I was weary I went for it. It's a teeny little converted house in an area of town I don't usually go to ...and it's filled with MAGIC! They only take appointments so you have complete privacy to browse everything. The ladies are super helpful and their store is filled with gorgeous accessories as well. I ended up purchasing my wedding gown there, fur shawl and a gorgeous bridal headband. They had stunning bridal belts as well but I already had one for my special day. Would highly recommend any new brides to head to this place FIRST before trying any other salons in anchorage or the valley.”
