It was very interesting and educational. The museum houses hundreds of taxidermized animal some of of them over a hundred years old. Many of the animals were from private collection, preserves or zoos. The displays were very well done. They reminded me of New York or Washington DC museums' exhibits. Even if you prefer, your animals to be alive (as I do) I believe you will enjoy the International Wildlife Museum. Also, the price was quit reasonable.
The building itself looks like a castle. A lot to see inside. I personally liked all the ice age animals. Plenty of lions and tigers and bears, oh my.
A Big Fan of supporting all Museums in Tucson!! I always feel like I'm in heaven when I come into the Grandroom. Add to the top of the list for places to visit when coming to Tucson~
Always a great time taking my boys here. They love looking at all the animals. Wide open hallways and exhibits help corral them while allowing them to explore freely. Membership deal is worth it! Friendly staff too!
I've lived in Tucson my whole life and as a child my school would take us here for field trips. Now that I have moved to Cali I came back home to visit and It's as awesome as I remember it! I felt like I was back in 4th grade again. It brought so many memories and they have a magnificent collection. I definitely recommend it for families with kids and even dates. The staff is awesome and the exhibitions are outstanding.
