“What a place to be ripped off with Walgreens rewards program. I was told by the pharmacy that the item I was buying was good for $10 cash Rewards. When I checked out they told me no you have to buy spend the $10 in the same aisle as the item that you purchased. Seems like it was and easy way to rip seniors off. I suggest you ask a lot of questions before expecting Rewards on an item.”

“I recently messed up by dropping (and breaking) a product on the floor. The cashier associate was very helpful in dealing with my regret and embarassment, by allowing me to purchase a replacement. I have been a customer of this store for nearly a decade, and have never before done such a mistake. These store employees are great people and it is worth my time to continue to shop here. Because the store worker was so helpful, I will continue to be a customer for this DG location. As just a regular person, we cannot ask for better human service than this emplyee has given me tonight. “Major issues with running out of stock. As the only local gas station, it becomes a huge issue for us since town is so far. Also, PLEASE stop letting people scratch tickets at the counter and get another if they win in a single transaction. It’s not right to make an already long line even worse with Avra Valley gambling addicts taking up everyone else’s precious time. I hope everyone who has made us all wait to scratch their tickets knows how rude and barbaric they are! The employees here are very worn thin, and that’s a corporate issue. Hire more employees to manage such a busy store! Summer months are constantly broken fountain drinks, which again, corporate issue. Check in more on your machines and they wouldn’t break down so often in the summer months. There’s bad reviews because people here are rude, not because it’s a bad store. They try, Avra Valley should try to be more clean and all the complaints would stop. Take accountability for your local store and you’d enjoy it!”

“I love the pharmacy staff. I wish more people could understand the sheer volume that goes through this store. The pharmacy staff have always been a pleasure to work with and have always gone above and beyond to help with prescription issues. When the pandemic hit, my sons medication supply chain was basically stopped. He has a life-threatening condition and his meds keep him stable and alive, so when everyone was out of stock I freaked out. The staff at this location called many many other locations to find his medication and directed me to where I could pick it up. They are also MUCH easier to communicate with, and they put notes in their system so I don't get asked the same questions, than the Wal-Mart next door. To the other reviewers, just because you choose to pick up at the busiest times does not mean that the staff are not doing their best. If you don't want to wait in line, go at their slower times. If you can't go when it's slow, then know you'll wait and mentally prepare yourself - you can't control the wait but you can control how you react.”

I needed to change out my propane tank and the store was slammed, the cashier said one moment, next thing I know, he walks out the door ready to help me, literally 2 minutes. Awesome. The stores really clean, they have a beer walk in, nice huh and they have hard alcohol, about a few dollars more then Walmart, but your in and out, so saving the time is well worth the money! Redbox is there so is Amazon lockers, firewood, and ice and lots of candy!”

“I stopped by this a.m. p.m. at least a couple times a month. They are always the cheapest gas in this area and are usually very competitive citywide. I know a lot of ampms tend to be run down and dirty, this is the exception and is always very clean and very brightly lit. They're hot foods are always fresh and the inside of the store is extremely clean and well-kept. They're fresh cookies are amazing and hard to resist. The staff here is super friendly and very hospitable every time I come in. I appreciate the gas stations that are clean and don't have a lot of riff Raff hanging out front. This one is always clean and I've never seen riff Raff out front.”
