(May 20, 2019, 9:00 pm)Tiny museum but worth a look if you are interested in the Civil War or the Sultana tragedy itself. The volunteer was a super sweet lady full of stories and facts. Cute little town too just ten minutes from downtown Memphis.

Museum dedicated to the paddlewheel steamboat, the Sultana, which exploded on April 27, 1865. It is the greatest maritime disaster in U.S. history. Over 1,800 of the Sultana's 2,300 passengers were killed when three of the boat's boilers exploded and the Sultana sank just north of Marion.
