Funky Elephant

Super incredible Thai food... I've never eaten anything like it before. It's not what you usually get at restaurants. All the food tasted super fresh, creative, and elevated. I loved the crispy rice dish and the chicken wings.

Oh and I accidentally ate a chilli pepper and the woman at the front (Fong?) was so nice and provided milk and water. My new favorite restaurant in Berkeley!

Fantastic Thai food, possibly the best I've had from a restaurant in America. Everything is authentic and flavorful, and pretty inexpensive as well!

Don't be fooled by its unassuming exterior and English name, Funky Elephant is the best there is.

There is something amazing happening on that little corner mall. I can't describe how delicious the food is, do one thing come and try it for yourself. If you are in the Berkeley area, it is an absolute must. Authentic, spicy, sweet , salty, simple yet full of flavor and complexity. I recommend you seat outside and try it fresh even if you must in the car, while they open their inside dining.
