“This place is a cool mix of upscale snobbery and hippy commune.”

“Had the pleasure of an evening sail with Dan, although most of the people in my party had not previously sailed before a great time was had by all. Dan is a very capable sailor, gentleman and host. I would highly recommend him particularity for those who like to sail and also those who might not be so sure. The Feral is a beautiful and sturdy vintage wooden boat and in the diminishing light the lamplight was the perfect touch.”

“Nice place to sit and contemplate nature and mankind. Wildlife to observe with the freeway accross the water. Wonderful playground for the young children with graduated sized play structures and sand box areas that don't get used by the local cats!”

“Nice area to walk around. Can be a p.i.t.f.a. to park on weekends. ....at least it's free to park around Berkeley Marina unlike Emeryville....????”

“Also locally known as Kite Hill, this is a great mixed-use park. Rolling hills and nice paved footpaths give way to stunning views of the Bay and San Francisco. Great for all ages and dogs. They host the kite festival here every spring/summer which is a great event.”

“Conveniently located near Berkeley. Lovely place for evening stroll/run and ideal for exercising the dog. Off leash area is great (but not fenced-in) for the pooch to run around. Picnic benches are a great addition for a pleasant day with family and friends to unwind. Watching the sun sink into the sea, or against the SF downtown skyline is a treat. A little slice of heaven for me. :)”

“I met Quincey at a weekly business networking event, where we got to bond and get to know each other well over a year+. My SO and I are minimalists, we've been looking forward to building and living in our own tiny home (on land) for some time, so sharing tiny living stories with Quincey was exciting and fun from the get-go! Quincey's kind demeanor, amazing knowledge about nutrition, and cooking skills are outstanding, and I knew Mitch was an experienced sailing instructor (she had told me lots about him:) When she told me about turning their lifestyle into a sailing adventure AND a bed and breakfast experience, I freaked! How EXCITING!!! I loved watching their journey unfold as they found and brought home the Esprit from Panama. I also knew my SO and I would be interested in experiencing all they had to offer! My SO and I met on a cruise on the Pacific ocean, so I knew the (beyond) perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary would be on the Pacific, and this time on a slightly smaller vessel, while adventuring around the bay, enjoying delicious meals and wonderful company! We met Quincey and Mitch in Berkeley, sailed around the Bay on day 1. We spent the night in Ayala Cove on Angel Island, then hiked to the top of Angel Island for panoramic views of the Bay Area the next morning. We got extremely lucky with the weather our entire trip (the first weekend of November), enjoying clear views of the skyline from the top of Angel Island, and water so calm as we re-entered the Berkeley Marina and watched the sunset, they had to turn on the engine! We learned a thing or two about sailing and we even spotted some dolphins and a whale along the way! Quincey and Mitch are both calm, welcoming and lighthearted. We definitely felt extremely safe and in great hands with them the entire time - they are true professionals! The amount of knowledge Mitch has of sailing and safety, is incredible, and sets you at ease. We loved learning and hanging out with Quincey and Mitch, exchanging interesting and fun travel adventure stories and tips. And aboard such an intimate vessel, we also felt like we had the space to just be, enjoy ourselves and one another :) Thank you for a wonderful first time sailing adventure and helping us celebrate our 10 year anniversary in a meaningful way Quincey and Mitch!!”

“I recently had my boat hauled at Berkeley Marine Center. I had the opportunity to meet Jen, Cree, Julio, and Rubin. All were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. I am happy I decided to go there and do the work myself. It was a great environment to work in and I felt comfortable every minute. Thanks Cree for your help and advice. I am certainly glad to see you haven't fallen in line with the other "so called" marinas in the bay area. You run a great place and can expect my business again soon.”

“Michelle gives the most amazing acupuncture treatments! I have been seeing her for several months now, and am amazed at both the therapeutic and relaxation effects. She is very focused and professional, and the treatments have helped me greatly for the long term. I highly recommend her!”

“This is a good place for hibachi if that is what you are looking for. The chef was very entertaining and lively. The food was great and the portions were perfect! The only complaint that I have is that the calamari appetizer that I ordered was horribly rubbery and not seasoned well. As long as you stay clear of that, your dining experience should be pleasant and enjoyable. The wait wasn't long either!”
