“Found this place after searching Google for museums in the East Bay. This was close and we haven't been to this one before, so since the kids were on winter break - we checked it out. My youngest said they felt like Indiana Jones and my eldest said it's their highlight so far of winter vacation. The museum docent handed the kids a scavenger hunt based on their grade level, and it really was quite fun! I would have loved the items in the gift shop for my classroom! Such a fun, educational experience!”

“I was looking for some storage and possibly make a move too. I met a wonderful customer agent there called Tyler who explained everything to me. We looked at a U-Haul Box which was what I had considered. After making a reservation for 1, I returned a few days later to change it to a storage unit instead. No problem, he said. We checked out a few storage units and I again reserved a unit but didn't want to commit because it was further than where I wanted it. Later that day, I found another storage unit closer to my home and called in to Tyler to cancel my reservation. Again, no problem! I was really impressed with the customer service, especially by Tyler, and I will return to this U-Haul site again for my next move!”

“Parking here was on the street. The shop isn't the best, seems the inventor isn't kept up. The ladies were nice though. The church is nice and looks like a mission church. Traffic around the area is crazy on Fridays. The line flows right by the mission.”

“Interesting stop on our visit to Niles. Our docent was very knowledgeable and it was a nice tour. I'd like to go back and enjoy a movie! It's tiny and the gift shop is bigger than the museum itself. Worth a look!”

“The train of lights is a historical, magic event to enjoy with your family. Years ago I tried to participate but I couldn't get tickets on time, I didn't know how. This was my third year able to buy tickets. How I do it? This year in October 13th, the tickets sale started at 10am. I work on Saturdays but at 10 am I told my customers to wait few minutes to make my reservation and buy the tickets (there are thousand of people in front of the computer buying too) Why the high demand for this event? There are so many tourists coming, people from many Countries. As I said, it's a magical ride. The workers are so friendly and caring specially with disabled people (I saw it) they are patient but they are old too, they need helpers, volunteers. I'm afraid this event would stop one day if we don't support them. Children enjoy it so much! I wish I knew about people looking for tickets, since I had two extra ones. If someone needs help getting tickets just ask. It will be a big mistake to stop trying just because it's difficult to get tickets. Let's keep our Christmas tradition alive!”

“Great family fun, lots of history to be found here. You can sit in the exact same buses you've watched on the big screen. Contact them for when they're going to have the annual open house, lost of fun. Phone and email best way to communicate, website is much outdated.”

“This review is actually for Ardenwood Historic Farm, which is part of the wonderful East Bay Regional Park District. We went to see monarch butterflies but humans’ collective industrial-technological “Midas touch” on this glorious globe of ours is decimating their numbers and there were none to be observed. Still, this site is a true gem for its tranquility, modest-yet-charming collection of hoofed and assorted small animals as well as fowl of various forms, meandering paths, scattered picnic areas, and lots of child-oriented scheduled activities. The peacocks are fearless. Part of the special educational opportunity provided by a space like Ardenwood is that the learning is as much about how to simply enjoy *being* in an idyllic setting as it is about more concrete informational learning. Just being at Ardenwood for its immersive pleasures could very well be its primary draw, while the other “stuff to do” is the trick to get you there. Either way, it’s definitely worth a visit.”
