  After visiting one care facility, my daughter and I left quickly. Later, we came to Bethany Home's Sunrise House on East Avenue. It felt like and looked like a home...just a home with a more than one set of grandparents. My husband's stay there was good. He soon said he was home and that it was I who had moved. Family visited often. Staff had to deal with some problems my husband caused and between the staff, the family and the doctor, it was taken care of well and quickly. Yes, it is less "fancy" and it feels like a home. My husband had a single room, which he liked. He joined other for meals and the staff helped him gently and kindly when necessary. Yes, I do recommend this home to friends and acquaintances.

  Although sadly my brother passed away recently, I will always cherish my memories of him living at Bethany Homes Care. My brother a 63 year old proud Veteran of 31 years lived in Bethany Home assisted living for over 5 years and the Care he received was exceptional. He use to have regular check ups at the VA hospital in Livermore and his Doctors, Nurses were always very pleased to see how well he was taken care of. As a matter of fact they made comments like "where and how did you find such a great Assisted living place that take such good care of him"? Not a single blemish on his body in the 5 years of his stay at Bethany Homes. He was well nourished ,always looked and smelled wonderful. Although As his legal care taker/family it was ultimately my responsibility to make sure his medications were inline with his overall well being. However Bethany homes staff were attending to them with utmost care and precision. I miss him very much everyday. I'm very grateful to Bethany Homes owners, staff for making him feel at home and the last years of his life so comfortable. Thank you.
