  So glad I came across the West Oakland Mural Project & this museum! The small exhibit does a great job painting a vision for community care and sharing the role of women in the BPP.

  An amazing visit. Jil has done an incredible job building this tribute to the women of the Black Panthers. I would highly recommend everyone visit.

  I wish I could give ten stars! Jill is incredible. The museum is incredible and so is the mural. To be on the streets of Oakland where the party worked was so meaningful to me. I so appreciate Jill sharing her knowledge and collection. She was absolutely lovely and my soul feels rejuvenated. This made my trip to the Bay Area! Thank you, Jill!

  A must visit. Jill was incredible, helpful and knowledgeable . We visited with both our daughters and they were fascinated and touched by this tour. An important assets of the black panthers movement and black history. Highly recommended.

  I've been here twice within the past 3 months. This place is a MUST see for visitors and for Bay Area people!!! Jill put her heart and soul into the museum and the Mural Project. Jill is also such a sweet and kind person, very talkative and really tending to visitors. Incredible place through and through. I'm forever grateful to her for setting up such a beautiful, revolutionary space like this to remember and honor the Black Panthers and all of the things they influenced and did for communities all across the US. Thank you, Jill, for spreading that revolutionary love. My heart feels so full every time I've visited
