Eyal Satat - Online Session Drummer/Remote Drum Recording

Eyal really listened to our music and paid attention to how our band sounds. Since he was tracking for us mostly during lockdown, it is impressive how effective he was at communicating with us down to the smallest details on how he thought each track could be approached rhythmically. Taking over from the expert stickwork of Roy Hargrove on our previous album was no small task, but Eyal gave us things to think about in terms of improving the overall feel of each song, a reflection of his incredible versatility and technical skill. Furthermore, he has the gift of a producer's ear that helped take our tracks to a highly polished, professional level. Highest recommendation for sure! I've hired Eyal Satat to record drums for my songs and to play live shows with my band. He is an incredibly talented drummer. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good drum teacher or to record drums for your songs. He is very professional, has quality gear, and is extremely reliable. He is one of the best drummers you will find in the Bay Area, hands down.

Working with Eyal was a great experience for me. His drumming is good, the tracks sent back are high quality audio files, and he was a pleasure to work with. For this past project, he had the added difficulty of no click tracks, but was still able to add stellar drum tracks that fit great with the songs. Looking forward to what he can do with the next project that will have click tracks...

He sent back multiple WAV files (8 I believe), each track from a different mic, all with good sound and not too hot. That made the studio engineer's job much easier. He always offered to take feedback and do a revision, but I never had to take him up on that, I always liked the takes he sent over. Eyal was the 3rd studio drummer I hired for the project I was working on, the first two basically said they couldn't record anything good without the click tracks, but Eyal made do with what I sent and it came back great! A couple other drummers I worked with had his flexible attitude, but they didn't have the good studio setup, so I got back less tracks, some with volume issues. All in all, Eyal is the best I've found, I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a session drummer.

Eyal is very professional and hands back easy to mix tracks. He's got great mic placement (no phase issues to speak of) and he's able to stay very well on with a given click track. I didn't need to time correct him at all. The best part of all is that he got me my tracks the next day!

I've had the pleasure of working with Eyal a few times over the years and this guy is legit. Awesome drummer and wonderful person to work with. I co-manage Wally's Hydeout (aka Studio C at Hyde St Studios) and would call on Eyal for any session.
