The best accommodation I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
This is the best place I've ever stayed, and it was off season. (Update below). I've been around the world, I've stayed in a lot of places, but this place offers a cozy room with fireplace overlooking a vineyard, private patio, evening wine and cheese, full breakfast, and free bicycles. With less than 10 rooms on site, you get a quality experience.
I do not want to say more, because I don't like to share too many secrets about my favorite places, but I'll promise to update this if it ever becomes the second best place.
Update: Still the best place. I did finally find something to complain about. I wouldn't be an honest reviewer if I did not mention it. The fan in the bathroom is on a switch and a steam sensor. There are times when I want the fan to run without steam buildup in the room.
Beautiful scenery, quiet setting and perfect location for relaxing. Linda took great care of us while we were visiting. Everything at the Grand reserve was high end, down to the wash cloths. I would definitely recommend staying here while you are in wine country. We can't wait to go back.
This was hands down one of the most amazing stays I’ve ever had. From the moment we showed up and Ravel got us squared away in our room to the moment Linda waved goodbye, every single part of this stay was fantastic. The property itself is gorgeous, the setting in just eye-popping with views and every direction, the location is amazing for wine tasting, and the service is on par with anything you can find, anywhere at any price point.
If you’re looking at the Plymouth area or just want to stay at an amazing place, you need to check this place out.
(Helpful tip: if you want to skip the crowds, August is a fantastic time to go. The grapes are getting ripe on the vines, so the views are amazing. Did I mention you can all but reach off your private veranda and grab a grape off the vine?)
Beautiful piece of Tuscany in the Amador Foothills. Secluded, gorgeous views. Did not stay overnight at the Inn, but attended a spectacular special event dinner for the evening. The Inn and facilities are stunning!
