“Girl Trip 2023. This hotel more than met our expectations. The employees are amazing. Dylan at the front desk was as sweet and helpful as could be. We went down for more towels and she brought them to our room. The lobby was just beautiful - clean, well lit and nicely decorated. They've done major renovations and it's so nice. Our room was super clean, beds were very comfortable, a/c works like a champ and not so noisy to keep you awake. The hospitality in Sutter Creek is amazing - bars, restaurants, shops - everywhere! Close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants. We will most definitely be back.”

“We had the most wonderful 2-nights stay at this hotel, my two (very picky!) teens loved it! Fresh renovated rooms, everything new and clean and impeccable, I loved wooden ceilings and huge windows facing beautiful forest. Amazing very hospitable and attentive crew, they treat you like family! There is a nice restaurant with pool tables and good food and drinks. Short drive (under an hour) from Kirkwood, and tons of amazing places nearby! We loved Black Chasm Caverns (less than 10 minutes away and home to some super rare structures - only 2 caverns in the US have them!).”

“We stopped in here to eat on our way home from an out of state trip. The restaurant was comfortable and clean, located inside the casino. Our waitress was nice and was concerned when my husband was not feeling well. Our food came without a long wait and was quite enjoyable. We did not gamble or get a room.”

Grand Reserve Inn

Address: 19890 Shenandoah School Rd, Plymouth, CA 95669, USA

“This is the best place I've ever stayed, and it was off season. (Update below). I've been around the world, I've stayed in a lot of places, but this place offers a cozy room with fireplace overlooking a vineyard, private patio, evening wine and cheese, full breakfast, and free bicycles. With less than 10 rooms on site, you get a quality experience. I do not want to say more, because I don't like to share too many secrets about my favorite places, but I'll promise to update this if it ever becomes the second best place. Update: Still the best place. I did finally find something to complain about. I wouldn't be an honest reviewer if I did not mention it. The fan in the bathroom is on a switch and a steam sensor. There are times when I want the fan to run without steam buildup in the room.”

Shenandoah Inn

“Found ourselves in the snow storm in Sierra foothills. My husband is a Supervisor in our local Municipality. He was on call, roads closed, blocked, our power out. We made a decision to go to our local hotel at least for that night. Ken at Shenandoah Inn, was amazing, took excellent care and when power was still out the next day, needing the room again, Ken made sure we were well taken care of again. We evacuated during the Caldor Fire, Ken took excellent care of us, the fire crews and other evacuees. If you need too, or if you're traveling, I highly recommend the Shenandoah Inn, call the hotel directly, talk to Ken.”

We stayed for the first time several years ago to celebrate our anniversary and she went as far as making us dinner reservations for the amazing restaurant in town. The breakfast spread is amazing, and Sandra always makes sure that there are options with no gluten for me. “Price was $18 for the day Some pros: - The beaches are sandy and clean. I've gone to other beaches in the area and they seem to have more muddy waters. - This lake is gradual so you will go from shallow to deep water gradually and wond have to worry about sudden drop off. - Even on a hot weekend, there is room but you may need to walk a bit. Some cons: - pretty packed on the weekends. - The lake has receded so you have to drive on sand to find a good spot. If you have a FWD car, be careful where you drive as you can get stuck. For the most part, you don't have to worry as long as you stay on the harder parts. - Because the lake has receded, you have to walk around to find a good spot so bring plenty of water for the walk. Overall, it is clean and was a great time.”

“My first contact was with Mack who was very accommodating / flexible with the dates I wanted to stay at the hotel. My second contact was Alejandro who greeted me with open arms. Made sure my room was ready and comfortable. He was always available for any questions. Rooms are clean and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel is an experience in itself - your imagination will take you back to the gold rush days. Last but NOT LEAST - this hotel is connected to one of the BEST family restaurants I have ever been to. Burke Family Restaurant has the best SERVICE and FOOD you will ever experience. Plus - meet Dennis at the piano in the bar, what a guy. He can manage those ivories like Beethoven and is accompanied by one of the best saxophone players ever. Stay at the Ione Hotel and enjoy Ione - best experience ever. Toby”

“I found a home here after looking for many many months for my family. It used to be a mobile home park but you actually own the land here now! All the newer homes are manufactured homes which I found a great deal on a foreclosure. 4 oak trees on my property and views of the Buena Vista Buttes. Lots of kids here and plenty for them to do. They have holiday parties including Santa Claus coming through on a fire truck giving out toys on Christmas Eve if you're out front when he drives by your house! The pool and hot tub are nice. There is a playground basketball courts and Lawn area for volleyball or whatever. In the summertime they set up a big screen outside on the lawn area and there is a movie or concert for the community every weekend. Unfortunately after cheating, abandoning us, and the year-long restraining order removed from her, my ex-girlfriend and mother of my two boys took our home because I was stupid enough to put it in her name only. Terry the manager runs the place quite well and I probably owe her therapy fees. When I told her we were putting it in her name only Terry wisely asked, "Are you sure you want to do that?" I should have listened . She seems to listen to everyone's concerns quite well.”
