Chabot Space & Science Center

Hours of diverse hands on fun for my grandsons ages 8 and 5. Science can be fun! The cafe had a less creative menu than a few years ago but provided a great rest break for our family. Cant wait to go again! Far too many things to explore to see in one day.

Educational and fun museum, perfect for kids of all ages. Both my 2 year old and 8 y.o. had a blast. There was something to touch, learn, and even get creative in every exhibit room. Will very likely come back soon!

Such a cool and interesting spot, it’s a nice stop for a date night, or even to bring some friends or children. Things are quiet and nice. Totally recommend to come on a night where the sky is clear. Amazing views and history.

And it’s all free. You have no excuse not to go. Go!

First rate, hands-on science center and astronomy observatory. They have regular events focused on children, both daytime and nighttime. There's two large telescopes for visual observations of the planets and stars, they have free viewings every Friday.

There's also a very nice planetarium as well as a theater where you can see movies and shows check the schedule for what's on this week.

Food, drinks, bathrooms, gift shop.

Sufficient parking nearby. It's a wonderful drive up to the top of the Oakland hills, wonderful views of the night sky.

Oakland is lucky to have such an excellent facility.

Very nice place very clean and very family-oriented. They do have a parking structure and that's pretty good there is a lot of lights they have lights that will light up when you walk so that's making it easier at night. And they have a lot of exhibits so it is kid friendly and adult friendly. And the show we saw was really good on the dome screen above us and the chairs tilt back so you can look up without having to strain your neck. Very great place to take family and friends in a date
