“Look out now! Some really impressive changes have come to Acapulco. The quality and selection have improved. The way its organized and displayed has improved, the customer point of sale aspect is friendly, prices are ringing up consistently, and accommodations for deliveries are easier to arrange. This is a whole new soil yard and I am very impressed. Well done Acapulco, keep it up!”

“I love taking my dogs here as much as they love hiking and swimming here. It's such a lovely place that's easy to miss if you don't know how to find it, but has become one of my absolute favorite parks in Contra Costa county! Definitely worth checking out and never crowded, as there's so much space to roam!”

“Wonderfully empty. Even on a nice day, few people come here. It's got great interpretive signs around marsh ecology and stunning views of San Pablo Bay and the San Pablo Hills. Bonus if you are a railfan: LOTS of trains go by the East side - where the UP main line parallels the multi use trail to the main part of Pt. Pinole Regional Shoreline”

“Great park for hiking, walking dogs, picnics and parties. I think Alvarado park hits all the marks. Clean. Accommodating. Trails are wide and defined. There are 2 large bathrooms. A play structure for kids ages 3-12. I've been having a great time at this park for decades.”

“Beautiful view with miles of hikes and history all the way to San Jose. Dog friendly. You can get a feel for how the rest of the land used to look by visiting here. If the wind is high enough right in this spot and the water tower up the hill, you can lean into it and it will hold you, very fun. I hear back in the day there used to be vehicle access, now it is a sanctuary for wildlife.”
