“We stayed in one of the cabins while we were being evacuated for a fire. I was very happy to see the cabins had AC, mini fridge, and microwave. I had booked 4 nights but after the first night we ended up being allowed to go home. The person at the front desk very kindly refunded the 3 nights that we didn't stay. I really appreciated their kindness and would definitely stay here again.”

“Great lake, even in the winter! The cost to get in was $15, sadly had to run all the way back to town to get cash. Beautiful drive to the lake coming from Grass Valley.”

“We are sorry you had a negative experience. It wasn't us. The Sly Park Rental Shack does not handle the parking. There is another business that owns this property and charges for parking”

“Northern CA wine aficionados will know how hard it is to get a good Barbera out of Napa, Sonoma, Livermore -- but the great news is SALUTI has nailed it! My daughter, sommelier-in-training, says Saluti's Barbera was the best she's ever tasted. She's scraping the Livermore dust off her feet and heading up to Somerset this weekend for a full tasting extravaganza. Not only is the Saluti tasting room beautifully appointed and rustic, not only are Tina and Randy welcoming, engaging and delightful, not only are the wines divine, but the overall experience is a slice of heaven. The scenic drive through Somerset, swirling through towering sugar pine forests, majestic as it is, does not prepare one for the sheer beauty of the descent on a perfectly paved broad driveway into the 250-acre canyon paradise which is Saluti Canyons. So stunning is the the Winery House and Bed & Breakfast architecture that I fully expected Kevin Costner and the Yellowstone cast to appear any moment. Hiking? Bocci ball, horseshoes? Wonderfully manicured gardens, charming patio seating, sloping vineyards, sprawling green lawns, scenic duck pond....Can I just move in? Strolling around the grounds and marveling at the wedding pavilion, I can understand why so many rave reviews for Saluti are from couples who celebrated their vows on these grounds. I will recommend cancelling any contracts you might have and rescheduling your event here.”

“This is a hidden gem. You learn a little history on the tour and you see some really interesting structures inside the cave. Overall I thought it was worth it just for the science and the geological rarity of the place.”

“Meandering walking trail, approx 0.25 miles and surrounded by trees. Great place to bring pups! There are fitness apparatuses, a doggy bag station, a separate large playground for kids where I've seen them maintaining and replacing/adding fresh bark. Public restrooms available, tennis court, which is also great for roller skating on a smooth surface! There is even a water fountain for humans and a low one for dogs. Sunrises and sunsets are beautiful!”

“Amazing park right on CSD's main properly. A huge open field with a trail, dog park, public bathrooms, a kid's playground, a toddler's playground, a skatepark, public pool, large gym, batting cages, basketball nets and a full sized designated baseball field all in one spot.”

“This was one of the best hikes I've done in the area! Plenty of interconnecting trails to explore. A little crowded parking lot on the weekend if you don't show up early, but the trails aren't crowded at all. Was able to walk 16 miles the last time I went and even with a puppy and a group of people, the hike was pleasant and not too challenging. Just a nice way to get outside and see the river and quarry and waterfalls.”

“Good playground for 5 years and older however there were smaller children there. The park and play equipment are clean. A few benches, lots of trees for shade, bark under the play equipment and trash cans. Large grass area for kids or adults to play soccer, toss a softball /baseball /football, or play volleyball or Frisbee.”

“I went there today alone just to remember the days when all of my children were very small still and we would play day after day here with all their little friends after school. We always had a blast. We have had multiple birthdays parties here and us parents would always plan some cool end of the school year party for our kids group and basically anyone who wanted go join us which was always a lot of other children. We love this place. I love this place! It's clean, safe and lots of fun for everyone including your pets who have tons of grass to play tag on with the kids. Our dog always had so much fun playing with the kids here and it was always a good way to wear down some of their natural energy! I highly recommend this place for family's big, small, your or not!”

“I've been here a few times over the years. It's a beautiful lake, nice campground. No showers, no cell service. I stayed for 6 days this week and had great weather and was able to move to a site next to the lake. Campground host named Les was very nice and helpful. Thank you!”

“Federal campground and beach so your day STATE park pass will not work here. 🙄 Place is clean and quiet and beautiful. We love this beach and is worth the $10 entry. Easy access no hiking and beautiful water. Parking is decent but can get full I'm peak times.”

“Nice trail to see different plants. There was flowers throughout the trail as well. There is a sign when you start the trail that there are ticks, rattlesnakes, and poison oak. I did not encounter any ticks or rattlesnakes but I stayed very cautious. In the beginning of the trail there are some white signs labeling different plants which was cool to know. There was a lot of horse poop on the trail. Once you get to the spot where the trail splits 2 ways, I went left. The right trail has a sign that states "No horses" so I am not sure what that right trail leads to. Once you keep going on the left trail, It gets a little intense. It goes uphill and its a lot more rocky with little shade. I personally wish I did not keep going cause my legs were sore the next day. Then you'll reach a spot where it opens up a bit and you will see benches. That is where I decided to turn around and head back. It is a nice view of the hills but I stopped there because the trail looked like it wasn't kept up, and considering there are ticks and snakes, I wasn't going to risk anything.”

“I tent camped for three nights towards the middle to end of May of 2022. I heard there were supposed to be a lot of bears, but I did not see one at all, which I was actually bummed out about. My camp neighbor saw one earlier in the morning before I arrived for the first night. There's tons of wildlife! There's also a trail that goes all around the campgrounds and part of it leads straight out to the lake. Bathrooms are nice and well kept (just make sure to bring your own soap and towel), and there is someone patrolling the grounds every hour or so. Fire pits are very large and have a grill you can put on it if you want to smoke something, and they have charcoal grills if you prefer that. It's also not far from the nearest market and about 10 minutes from Tahoe City if you need anything more. I only gave it a 4 because the sites could stand to be more private, and the roads/parking spaces are a tad confusing if you've never been there before. Overall, it's a lovely campsite and I would definitely visit again.”

“One of the nicest parks around our town. Probably one of the nicest parks I’ve ever been too. There is tennis courts, bathrooms on site, a walking path that goes around the park, a very cute, shaded play ground, a work out station, a soccer field, and the scenery is just beautiful. Cherry trees, oak trees, beautiful green grass and much more! The parking lot is easy to get in and out of. The bathrooms are kept up for the most part. There is bbq grilles to enjoy a nice family fun filled day!”
