Folsom lake is always beautiful and this year it's even better with water levels back to being how it used to be. The water was perfect. Also being a weekday there weren't a lot of people.
Came here a year ago and the water line was so low. This time the lake was filled from all the rain. So we were able to fish and get in the water because it was clear where we were at. I love this lake. We definitely will be back.
This is the 2nd year I've gone to the Beale entrance of Folsom Lake for my birthday. The water was FREEZING, but I slowly made my way in. It was crowded but not as bad as the Granite Bay location. I had a great time.
Excellent place to go for a walk, a run, or a bike ride. The amount of trails and beauty around is endless. The lake view is gorgeous. All the native plants and flowers were unbelievable. We just went on a bike ride in mid-April, and all the flowers blooming were incredible to see. There are areas around the lake where you can park your car and have a picnic with your family and friends. There are bathrooms, bbqs, tables, grass areas, and people fishing. The amount of fun you can have outside in this place is countless. Go outside and have some fun, but please clean after yourself and help preserve this place to others. Also, respect wildlife. We saw a rattlesnake crossing a bike path going towards the lake, probably to drink some water. There are all kinds of critters out there. Just be kind and respectful, and we all keep on happy and moving on with our lives.
