“UPDATE: A few days after the incident I received several calls from the Clovis Police clarifying the misunderstanding. The reason behind my 6$ being out of my wallet was because anything inside the wallet is placed separately. The officer who returned my wallet was unaware of the transaction and so my 6$ were left at the station. I was told that I could come pick it up anything!! Thank you Clovis Police for reaching out to a concerned citizen, it was a sigh of relief. I GOT ROBBED BY A COP!!! I lost my wallet at the Sierra Vista Mall on Father’s Day. An officer (Megan(very professional)) called me the next day stating a good samaritan turned it in to the police station fully intact which included my DL, credit/debit card, and $6 dollars cash. Unfortunately I was at work at the time and my wallet was turned into the evidence and property release department for safekeeping and was told to make an appointment to come collect my wallet. Two days later I was finally able to come retrieve my belongings. At glance my wallet looked intact and I left the station more than pleased. Until later that night I noticed my wallet had no cash. I was shocked, hurt, disappointed , disgusted, and overall ashamed with the situation. I am convinced that this station is corrupted. And to the thief I hope you really needed those $6. I hope my story helps to serve others and encourage them to A. Check your belongings throughly when collecting from evidence and property release at the Clovis police department and B. Speak up against their injustice.”
