“We stayed there last night and had a calm and peaceful time. It's well shaded with a lot of vegetation and close to the river. The place is located close to the sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks, making it ideal to stay if you do not have any reservations in the national Parks (which is hard). Will definitely stay on our way back, which gives us Maximum time to spend in the national park and less driving :)”

“Haven't been here in years. The first thing we see is this super awesome zip line swing. The only down fall is a parent has to pull it back up for smaller kids. My little guys could barely get it. Thankfully a dad was there to help all the kids.”

“The unpaved road and parking lot lead to an unassuming area to access the river. There are a few picnic tables, a bathroom, and a freeway. There is no swimming permitted, but the Kings River is a jewel and I’m glad this park is here. I hope more and more people will help donate and give service hours to make this park a better place.”

“This is just off of the trail. There are large grassy areas, playground equipment, shade trees, and shelters. The shelters are reserved in advance and the weekends can be busy. Just stop by to kick a soccer ball or play in the equipment. The bathrooms are public and can be clean or bad - depends in the users and their willingness to be respectful. The trail connected is a good path for walks, runs, or rides. Bicyclists should yield to those walking.”

“What a beautiful place to take a walk. There are baseball and soccer fields. It also appeared to have a swimming pool (which was closed when we arrived). Lots of picnic tables and benches in areas of shade and areas of sunshine ? This is a GREAT place to walk around the track and get your steps in.”

“Its a very nice place. The playground doesn't have shade and the trail goes into places that are kinda hard to see. I recommend you take a buddy or supervise your children. There is also the occasional homeless person under the pavilion but they don't bug people very much.”

“The entire staff was courteous & the customer service was great. Joann was patient, understanding & so very nice to me at a difficult time. She helped me pick out my husband's headstone & bench. I was very pleased when it was installed. The groundskeepers have been courteous & thoughtful. They leave the artificial flowers in the cup until I go change them & if I need anything they willingly help.”

“This spot is usually very quiet, as most people who travel along this road are probably heading towards one of the parkers further up the road, or they're going to Pine Flat. I went during springtime and was pleasantly greeted with lush green grass, large oaks and a lazy Kings River meandering it's way down south. If you follow the trail North, you'll eventually come to a weir where you can stop and dip your toes in the water. I managed to catch a wonderful sunset with my dog while I was there.”

“All play equipment is in good condition. Just the normal wear and tear of course. Cute replica house, tower, and trolley. Two playgrounds. Nice gazebo's with picnic tables, great for parties or bbqs. They have grills by the gazebos. No regular swings only one handicap and three baby swings.”
