Just had my gallbladder removed definitely recommend Cyrus moon explained everything and answered any questions I had.
Dr. Garcia was very professional, explained the process and how the surgery was going to be. Since surgery I have seen his PA, Ivan who has been great. Staff is very nice and professional. Do not regret my procedure with this team of MD's and PA's.
Dr. Irani and his staff are wonderful. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the office and if I've ever had questions about my surgery they return my calls promptly. The staff are kind and professional.
I had the great pleasure of having a one month surgical rotation with Dr. Irani and the Bakersfield Surgical Associates group as a Stanford School of Medicine Physician Assistant Student. For the sake of posterity, I should make it clear that I have already passed the course and have absolutely nothing to gain from endorsing this practice or Dr. Irani.
The one aspect of this experience that probably stood out to me the most was the degree of pateitn satisfaction that I witnessed everyday. his responsiveness, kindness and humility around patients is unsurpassed in my experience. Dr. Irani is very approachable and answers any question whether from a student or a patient with the utmost dignity and honesty. It seemed like nearly every patient had a story about how they had decided that no other surgeon but Dr. Irani and his decades of surgical experience would suffice.
Additionally, I had the unique opportunity that patients don't get, and that was to see Dr. Irani in the operating room. Being the consummate teacher that he is, every patient was a lesson in anatomy, physiology and pathology and his breadth of knowledge just surpassed even my most hopeful expectations. But surgery has another element beyond just knowledge and that is skill. Having scrubbed in for about 40 surgeries over the course of the one month, I had the privilege of witnessing impressive resilience to stressful circumstances but even more so, such amazing skill that can only come from so much experience.
I heard several times from his own PA, the surgical nurses and the OR techs that Dr. Irani was their favorite physician to work with because of these qualities. I can see why Stanford School of Medicine loves so much to send their Primary Care Program students to Dr. Irani for training. Whether a patient or a student PA looking for a preceptor, Dr. Irani and his highly skilled PA Kristen come with my absolute highest recommendation.
