“I attended Mark Keppel High School back in the 70's. It is a great High School. All staff were truly caring towards all students needs. Although myself , I had 2 classes of P.E a day, not realizing this was going to hurt my goal of graduating in 1978. No councellers had called me in for a talk about My classes & the requirements for graduation. I should have been more aware of my choices & what classes I was leaving out of my curriculum as this did hurt me in the long run. The school is a Fantastic one & used to be a bomb shelter too. That made a person feel safe in their surroundings there for sure.”

“Closing at this historic location by end of 2018. Until then they still have their traditional diner menu at this historic landmark in the corner of Alhambra. Food usually prepared correctly but service can be very slow when busy. They have good-sized portions however prices are high for the food and drinks you get. Shares parking lot with In-N-Out so parking can be horrible when both are open. Moving to South Pasadena on Fair Oaks near the old OSH, Sees Candy, Starbucks and FedEx Office.”

“We had a leak under our sink. After the plumbers came to our home and couldn’t resolve the issue they decided to take apart our P trap. After they then did the snake through the P trap light in our water was able to run afterwards. Not to mention they came out very late at night..much appreciated.”

“I just enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner at Alhambra’s newest Hawaiian restaurant, Musubi Hawaiian BBQ located on Fremont Ave at the 10 fwy. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Chicken and was NOT disappointed!! They stir fry their entrees to order as evidenced by the wonderful fresh garlic smell coming from the kitchen. The entrees are served Hawaiian style with rice and potato macaroni salad. The entrees are also Hawaiian style in that they are very large portions, very satisfying. BUT, for me, the real find at Musubi Hawaiian BBQ was the Grilled Salmon Musubi, you read that right, Grilled Salmon Musubi. For those of you who enjoy Spam Musubi but sometimes find it a bit on the salty side, the Grilled Salmon Musubi is the perfect cure. Can hardly wait to try some of the other dishes on their menu, such as their combination plates that come with the usual rice and Macaroni salad plus veggies. “I liked the place. Its quiet. Ask the owner for sheets and towels and poof there ya go... I didn't see any roaches and i stayed like a month.... The pool is cold. There's a soda machine. The place is cool.... What else do you want? Its 50 bucks plus key deposit. Love that place. ”
