“- 2018 - Changed insurance from Kaiser so I had to change my PCP (primary care physician). I did research into all the doctors near where I live and work and found Dr. David Chen in West Covina. His office was only 8 minutes from work and had some stellar reviews. I made the switch and is my second time here. The nurses and Dr. Chen were really cool and thorough people. The front desk consistently called me the day before to double check and confirm my appointments as well tell me information like if my insurance info was updated, etc. Walking in I was also acknowledged and greeted. Dr. Chen was very easy to talk to and friendly. He asked me all the standard health history questions as well as went through small movement tests to see if my body/reflexes were working normally. Recommended plenty of good points when inquiring about my physical exercise regiment. That's the really good thing was that Dr. Chen seemed like he really cared per individual patient which I didn't get at my previous Kaiser PCP where it was one of the coldest visits I've encountered (understandably PCPs gets overloaded with patients). Small clinic compared to Kaiser (unfortunately I'm really spoiled by Kaiser) so the tech is kind of old (no mobile apps for patient portals, website isn't the most efficient setup). Only gripe, the logistics felt really slow and/or backed up. My appointment was at 2:00PM really was to just meet Dr. Chen and to ask for my medication refill. Didn't get in until 2:40PM because his previous patient stayed past my appointment time which resulted in everything getting backed up. I finished at 3:10PM. Waited another 30 minutes for my lab papers because there was only one nurse working and the other was taking care of the front desk/calls. Overall took almost 2 hours when I was expecting 20 minutes tops. LOL. I had to take more time off work than I wanted to. - 2020 - They have moved to a much better facility and now within walking distance of my house. Which is awesome. I appreciate that the nurses will call the day before to remind patients of their appointments. All my appointments has been smooth and procedures quick.”

“Found Dr. Chung from my insurance website. He is nice and caring. I really don't like to visit dentists, but he made it so much easier. My first visit was last year when I had a filling came off. They scheduled the appointment next day because I was not in pain, otherwise they would try to fit me in the same day. Yesterday, Dr Chung got my wisdom tooth out and fixed another filling. No pain! Feel much better without that stupid wisdom tooth. Should have removed it long time ago, and I wish I knew Dr. Chung a long time ago.”

“This is a Long overdue review. I’ve been going to Dr Kim for over 20 yrs and as long as I live in California I will always see him regardless of my commute. Currently I drive 60 miles to see him cause he’s the only one I trust. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism regardless if I’m just getting a cleaning or a major procedure. “Pretty good service for a doctor's appointment. Be careful with time and schedule more than expected in your personal schedule because things tend to go over in any medical office. There seems to only be one nurse, but not many people come in. At first, I had to fill out usual paperwork for my first visit about my health, and then I paid my copay (from my insurance) and waited to see the doctor. Due to another patient also being new but having difficulty writing out the forms, it took a while for me to get a room (not the fault of the facility) because the nurse had to help her fill them out. Once in the room, the doctor finished with the previous person and came to see me. We had a quick chat about ourselves and what we do. Dr. To seemed interested about me and asked questions about what I did and the like. Fortunately, I had similar experiences with him in attending a UC and doing the same study abroad program, so we talked quite often about that. While conversing, he did the basic checkup and went through the laboratory procedures I needed. Besides conversing, it was a very productive trip where he handed me the lab request and told me to go across the street to another plaza for the lab. The whole ordeal took about 40 minutes (mainly due to paperwork), but the doctor seemed engaging and quick to do what you have to do. I will definitely come back and keep seeing him as my primary care doctor.”
