“When I attended this school, it was decades ago. However, I liked it. I learned quite a bit. We were given much work and homework to do. I knew I was going to learn here. 4th grade Mr Joe Van Pelt- wonderful, let us listen to the radio when we were good in class. I disliked the SRA assignments, but he was there to help. 5th grade- Ms Edith Garvey/Mrs Darlene Morrison- wonderful teachers. Ms Morrison was excellent at explaining math. 6th grade- Mr Bob Dale/ Orlo Norfier- Mr Dale was the WWII vet who explained the whole police action to us. He was an excellent English teacher. 7th grade- Braunstein/Montgomery/Cousins, and again, Van Pelt. Much homework was given by Cousins, the English teacher. She was the greatest with her violet outfits, Bentley Bucks, where we could buy school supplies from the board, and her demeanor was pleasant and friendly. I really enjoyed this school. Rest in peace, Bonnie Harrington, the best librarian in the world. We loved you. You looked so much like the actress, Diane Ladd.”

“This school is so great. All of the teachers are so welcoming and they really understand certain cercumstances that are hard for a student. The only thing that could be improved is the school lunches. The nutrition snacks are done but the lunches need a lot of improvement. Otherwise I really love all of the teachers and if you are nervous for the first day of school don’t be because all of the teachers are so nice(especially to 6th graders and new kids)don’t worry. Just be a good student and don’t get any ARS’s or NTI’s.”

“It's been a long time since I danced tango, but recently I decided to give it another try. When I took classes some years ago, they were fun, but that doesn't compare to the class I took with Ilona. One hour and I fell back in love with tango ; now I can't wait to start practicing more. The thing that makes her absolutely amazing is that she can dance and teach both, how to lead and how to follow. Over all, I found that her class was so easy to follow and the dancing became so carefree that I didn't even notice how the hour ran out. I can't wait to go back next week.”
