“I've been a Catholic all my life and this is my favorite church, period. It is a Catholic church in full communion with Rome but they follow the Eastern Rite. This church serves as a church for two Eastern Catholic communities: the Russian-Greek Catholics (10am mass) and the Melkite-Greek Catholics (845am mass). The masses use the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, where almost everything is sung (except homily of course). The Russian-Greek service is in English, while the Melkite-Greek is mostly English, with some songs in Greek and Arabic. Yes, Catholics may take communion under the same circumstances and with same requirements as for a Roman Catholic church. (You might notice little kids taking communion -- that's because in the Eastern Catholic church, they give all 3 sacraments of initiation at the same time - Baptism, Confirmation/Chrismation, Eucharist). I was raised as a Roman Catholic, not Eastern Catholic, but I find the mass here particularly edifying. I especially like the a capella singing in the Russian-Greek service. To be fair, it is not for everyone. Some of my Catholic friends/family loved it, while some found it too different. Besides the beauty of the mass, I also love Fr. Alexei Smith's homilies. Like I said I've been a Catholic all my life, attending mass regularly, but somehow Fr. Alexei is able to make thought-provoking homilies every week, with perspectives that I've never heard before, full of wisdom. I also love the church itself, with its beautiful hand-painted iconostasis (a screen separating the sanctuary (which represents heaven) and the congregation (which represents earth). Everything is rich with symbolism. If you are a Christian, especially if you are a Catholic, and want to see a church and mass that truly feels sacred, I highly recommend going there at least once.”

“When I attended this school, it was decades ago. However, I liked it. I learned quite a bit. We were given much work and homework to do. I knew I was going to learn here. 4th grade Mr Joe Van Pelt- wonderful, let us listen to the radio when we were good in class. I disliked the SRA assignments, but he was there to help. 5th grade- Ms Edith Garvey/Mrs Darlene Morrison- wonderful teachers. Ms Morrison was excellent at explaining math. 6th grade- Mr Bob Dale/ Orlo Norfier- Mr Dale was the WWII vet who explained the whole police action to us. He was an excellent English teacher. 7th grade- Braunstein/Montgomery/Cousins, and again, Van Pelt. Much homework was given by Cousins, the English teacher. She was the greatest with her violet outfits, Bentley Bucks, where we could buy school supplies from the board, and her demeanor was pleasant and friendly. I really enjoyed this school. Rest in peace, Bonnie Harrington, the best librarian in the world. We loved you. You looked so much like the actress, Diane Ladd.”

“Awesome Pizza...cheese, pepperoni and the right amount of greezy good! Had the Pepperoni pie and it's fantastic! Small pepperonis that hold their oil when cooked...brings the flavor! Great thinner crust with good char (in parts). Great amount of cheese....more than you need but def not too much...and a great taste of creamy and a little salt. LOVE the fresh Basil sprinkled on top....nice touch!! I think they're still getting their feet under them at this location...4 Stars for now. We were given :60 minutes for pickup and it was more like 1:20 minutes and half of the crust was not as cooked as the other half. I'm assuming it was cooked enough through the conveyor and they pulled it slightly early. Still great pizza but could have been better”
