The Painted Turtle

This is primarily a children's camp for kids with disabilities . Menu reflects this, and the protocol for meal service, while good for kids, is not effective for adult audiences. The facilities were great, and staff were attentive. Meal service for adult taste and expectations need to be addressed.

The Painted Turtle is a Camp for Children with severe medical conditions, it was founded by Paul Newman and is part of a network of similar camps across the country called Serious Fun Camps. It's a nonprofit and the Campers are not charged to attend everything is paid for by generous donations.

Special Paradise! Paul Newman has cultivated over 30 Painted Turtle Camps! Woodland Hills Woman’s club has supported by purchasing fabric for the turtle pillows! As well as sewing the pillows for the campers!
