“This is primarily a children's camp for kids with disabilities . Menu reflects this, and the protocol for meal service, while good for kids, is not effective for adult audiences. The facilities were great, and staff were attentive. Meal service for adult taste and expectations need to be addressed.”

“Quiet. Dolly will answer your questions and hold a spot for you. Nice swimming pool and a clubhouse for your wifi. This week wifi was to be installed. Haven't checked if it is working or not. Some sites are pull through. The sites have gravel and full hookups. We enjoyed our stay. Be sure and take Elizabeth Lake Road, not Johnson Road which is the back way and VERY steep. It was $45/night or $245/week.”

“Wow!! You gotta check this place out. The atmosphere and the style of the place is perfect. The service has that awesome small town feel. Alex and Jean-Paul both made us feel super welcome, and instantly like part of the family. The food all tastes like it was cooked from home. Everything is made in house. Even the ketchup and ranch! My girlfriend never eats ketchup and was dipping all the fries in her house ketchup. I cannot even begin to do the burger justice by trying to explain its mastery. You just gotta go and try it for yourself so you can behold all the glory that is the burgers here. We had the calamari for our appetizer and it was so perfect. Neither the calamari nor the fries tasted overly greasy, and I could actually taste the other ingredients. We 100% will be back again. This place just found themselves some new regulars!”

“Lake Hughes Recovery equipped me with all the tools & resources I needed to remain sober long after my stay. The facility itself was extremely serene with no shortage of amenities & activities. The staff is professional and truly care about your recovery. I highly recommend this facility.”

“Running Horse Ranch is an outstanding operation. Daniela’s horses are beautifully trained, responsive, and a joy to ride. I went on a three hour ride up to Burnt Peak, and had an amazing time. Great variety on the trail. Wide open vistas, long trots, and fun ascents and descents on twisty narrow trails. I’ve gone on horseback riding trips around the world, and the quality of the horses and the gorgeous trails and views are certainly worth traveling halfway around the world for. I’m fortunate that the ranch is only about an hour away. I’ll definitely be back!”

“This was small campground in ,1960's, trail goes to upper shake ( both named because it sits on Fault Line). Upper Shake was great quiet campground. Closed now, but where I camped many times w my Dad. Ah, memories..”

“I've been here about a dozen times. Some nice views, right along the PCT, has fire pits, and a vault toilet AND picnic tables. Sometimes it can be windy. We brought extra rations of soda and snacks for the thru hikers (I believe this spot is around mile 500 from Mexico, on the way to Canada). I was camping in my roof top tent when a bear came through a few of the camps, so you'll want to be aware of that. I had a cooler WITH NO FOOD just plastic water bottles, and the bear still bit into the cooler probably from previous experience assumed food was in there, but it wasn't a big scare or anything. I had heard the bear has been through camp before. I take my 2 and 5 year olds with me each time I camp and they love the area.”

“As a former missionary and pastor, I have gone to the Oaks many times for retreats and camps. Their facilities, staff, and food services are all outstanding. Great activity selection. They provide a variety of facility options. And, it is an easy drive from the Los Angeles area. Great value.”

“People make the place and this place is definitely made by it's people. Our server was great. Can't be happier with her service. The place has a unique look and it's very old. Not a bad old, but a historic travel back in time look. I loved it. They have limited parking on street and across the street. The food...holy cow, great portions. Not just big portions, but great tasting food too. Creaky floors, old neons, sturdy heavy wood tables...so much to love. The bathrooms are a little rough, but it goes with the time warp of the restaurant. I would go there everyday if I lived closer. Great job, Rock Inn.”
