“Quiet. Dolly will answer your questions and hold a spot for you. Nice swimming pool and a clubhouse for your wifi. This week wifi was to be installed. Haven't checked if it is working or not. Some sites are pull through. The sites have gravel and full hookups. We enjoyed our stay. Be sure and take Elizabeth Lake Road, not Johnson Road which is the back way and VERY steep. It was $45/night or $245/week.”

“Running Horse Ranch is an outstanding operation. Daniela’s horses are beautifully trained, responsive, and a joy to ride. I went on a three hour ride up to Burnt Peak, and had an amazing time. Great variety on the trail. Wide open vistas, long trots, and fun ascents and descents on twisty narrow trails. I’ve gone on horseback riding trips around the world, and the quality of the horses and the gorgeous trails and views are certainly worth traveling halfway around the world for. I’m fortunate that the ranch is only about an hour away. I’ll definitely be back!”

“I've been here about a dozen times. Some nice views, right along the PCT, has fire pits, and a vault toilet AND picnic tables. Sometimes it can be windy. We brought extra rations of soda and snacks for the thru hikers (I believe this spot is around mile 500 from Mexico, on the way to Canada). I was camping in my roof top tent when a bear came through a few of the camps, so you'll want to be aware of that. I had a cooler WITH NO FOOD just plastic water bottles, and the bear still bit into the cooler probably from previous experience assumed food was in there, but it wasn't a big scare or anything. I had heard the bear has been through camp before. I take my 2 and 5 year olds with me each time I camp and they love the area.”
