“Very nice, new, clean rooms. Everything feels very safe, and there’s a cute courtyard in the middle. What a lovely place - and the breakfast is amazing for such a small hotel (we just expected coffee and a muffin). People that are complaining about breakfast in the reviews maybe missed half of the buffet - there’s different yoghurts, different oatmeals, a lot of fruit, high quality and very diverse selection of pastries, freshly brewed coffee, toast, bread. Nice people at the reception. Parking is suite easy in the surrounding streets. We’re really happy we chose this hotel for a very reasonable price. The rooms and bed are on the small side, but very manageable. They do have black-out blinds (I saw somewhere in the reviews they did not), you have to look for the right button on the touchpad.”

“I stayed at Oxford Mansion for an extended stay of just a little over 3 weeks. The rooms were neat and clean and the food was pretty good for Korean dorm living. I am a little confused about the bad reviews about the food and management but maybe it is a culture difference. If you are not used to asian food and interaction then that may be it.”

Room is a small size not really ment for more than 2 ppl the bathroom had a drip coming from the light fan everytimw the ppl above us took a shower or flushed it would leak so irratating clean rooms everyday 24/7 service. No good fast food places to walk to so just know you will not pay less than $10 A MEAL UNLESS U GO TO THE LIL MEXICAN FOOD PLACE DOWN THE WAY. Other than that my 2 week played out ok”

“Best boutique hotel I've ever stayed at! So very clean, quiet and safe. Location is just 7 minutes from Universal studios. Parking is free in it's own covered garage next to my bungalow (fit a suburban), with the gate closing at midnight for security. Service was exceptional by all staff involved. Will be my go to the next time in the area. Muffins and oatmeal for breakfast every morning. Tea, Coffee and hot chocolate are available as well. Walking distance to many restaurants and convenience stores.”

“Super clean and really comfortable beds. I love that there is NO CARPET and the floors all appear to be updated! (My gold standard for hotels now). The bathrooms are basic and the free breakfast is fine, but for a really good price, great beds, the cleanliness, and safe parking, this hotel was a perfect fit. I really liked having a fridge and microwave in my room and I thought the staff was extremely courteous with each interaction.”

“Staff is incredible. The entire area of VALLEY OASIS/VOA territory is patrolled by LASD. The dorms are filled with beds with people who are enduring the Winter without a home. Only 90 days with a case manager here who is supportive and determined to rapidly re-house each participant. The policy is strictly enforced which mainly require no drugs, no fighting & no theft just to name a few- curfew at 10pm- lights on at 6am. There's no pressure to do anything. It's very important to meet with your case manager weekly. There are showers three times a day, clean clothing available, free washers and dryers available every day throughout the week. Breakfast, lunch & dinner provided. Smoking is allowed in the designated area. A huge recreational area to spend time socializing with the new people going through the same hardship of homelessness. Best of all, there's coffee and your able to ask for seconds. Also, there is a vending machine in case you want to buy snacks. There is only one bus line that runs nearby from Quartz Hill to Owen Memorial Park throughout the day. Bus stop is in walking distance to ride the AVTA #9 BUS. ITS NOT the RITZ however it's clean, safe and patrolled. Good enough for me.”
