“This hotel is under major renovation and very close to LAX; however, my room was quiet, clean and had new furniture/bedding. If you wish to support small businesses in an economically depressed area, then you can stay here with confidence you are in a safe and secure location that is kid friendly, pet friendly and, with some discretion because of the kids on premises, 420 friendly! I loved it!!!”

“I booked this hostel in a last minute panic after some plans fell through, and was more than a little nervous due to the negative reviews. Frankly, you're getting what you pay for. It is cheap and close to LAX, with a pharmacy, convenience store, gas station and fast food all within walking distance. It isn't incredible, but it isn't awful. Just about everyone I spoke to was just another friendly traveler looking to save a few bucks. If you're a lonely solo traveler (like I was) just sit by the pool and try to look friendly. You'll make some friends quickly. The front desk staff were a little unenthusiastic and one even forgot to give me my room key when checking me in, but it was easily fixed by popping back in a minute later. The area is a bit dodgy and as a very short, petite female I wouldn't have felt safe going out at night so I just made sure to get my shopping and outings done during the day. But I did enjoy staying here. Overall, just know that you're paying for a cheap place to sleep. Not everything is going to be perfect and if you're wanting something nicer, perhaps cough up a little extra for a nicer place to stay.”

“We arrived around 10pm from a long drive. We were tired, the hotel was peacefully quiet and the staff was very welcoming. Room was much larger than expected which was great. Beds were comfortable and well made. Snug with cold a/c you can adjust. Room was clean and orderly. Woke up early next morning and enjoyed the breakfast. Spent the whole day at the beach at Santa Monica which was about a 15 min drive. Came back tired and had the best sleep of my life. Next morning checked out. In all this is my first experience at a hotel in general, first vacation to be honest. I plan on making this my hotel for future trips to LA”

“Cute and quiet with the exception of the airplanes. Needed a quick place to stay that was near my boyfriend's Veterans housing and this was perfect for us. Also very glad the air conditioner worked. We spent almost the entire time in our room together because we don't get to see each other often enough, so it feels good to isolate ourselves, in order to have some wonderful alone time. Great rates too!”

“The first night I arrived at midnight and there was a problem with my room and the staff acted quickly to accommodate me into another room despite being almost fully booked. The person at the desk was extremely kind and helpful. She stayed with me until they gave me the new room. The hotel in itself is modern and nice at an excellent price point. It’s not luxurious, but it has all the amenities you could want: nice toiletries, pool, nice new gym and spacious rooms. I really like that the staff is available to assist via text on the app and you can convert your phone into the room key. I had never stayed at a Sonder before, but this experience was great. The customer service was excellent! Even with the issues on the first night, they were addressed swiftly and I was happy with the rest of my stay. The location is close to the airport, but slightly far from everything else. I was only here for 3 days and know the area well so it worked perfectly for me!”

Property is well connected from 405. Property is aged but decent for the short stay. Being near to airport plane landing sound may disturb you once in a while. May need better sound insulation.”
