“I have lived in the Lancaster area just over a year. I was told about the park and went to see it for the first time on Friday Jan. 12 2018. I was checking it out before deciding to take my wife there also as she is limited in walking to much on rough ground and I did not know what to expect. It does look wheel chair and even walker friendly as well as Cane friendly in case someone has walking issues. My wife has had total hip replacements and it looks to be a great relaxing place for her to walk at.I was a little surprised as it was much much cleaner then reviews I read about it. I did NOT have to watch my step because of duck mess around the lake area. It was clean and looked very well maintained. I watch some fishing people catching some Trout. Not a fast catch but a relaxing take you time and enjoy fishing time. I do plan on getting into the fishing end at the lake. I just have not got it together yet to go fishing as I still need to get my license. There are a lot of shade trees around the lake so shade is available and there are covered picnic tables and grill available.. It is located a couple miles NE from the Antelope fair grounds and you can even drive on the Musical Road which is just North of the Antelope fair grounds to get to it.”

“Nice quiet little park with a decent playground. Lives on the corner of a elementary school block. Picnic tables and grills for BBQ. An exercise trail with equipment to get in shape! Park is fenced in well so the little ones can run freely without much fear of them running out into the streets. Cool little park.”

Quail Lake - Recreation Area

Address: Lancaster, CA 93536, USA

Park

“This lake is fed by the Aqua Duct and the water can flexuate several feet . The only bathrooms are at the entrance in the parking lot. Strong winds responsible for white caps across lake surface are common. Pack out what you pack in is the best advise I can offer as trash cans are scarce out on lake.....and to those who keep everything they catch, know that the babies can't grow up to be caught if anglers never practice catch and release”

Tierra Bonita Park

Address: 44910 27th St E, Lancaster, CA 93535, USA

Park

“An excellent Park which has not yet been ruined by hoodlums. Tierra Bonita is a well-kept secret of a park. If you were looking for privacy and space this is the place to go. I have never seen more than a few people at any given time. Located on the outskirts of Eastern Lancaster, this spacious Park is a nice place for privacy. One can barbecue here and have a nice family outing without being disturbed, by the inner city problems inherent within other parks located in Lancaster. There's a nice playground for children, with an amazing 3-story tubular slide. What I would do to give a kid again. 3 softball fields well-groomed, and I have yet to see any softball games here at this park. If you have baseball playing children or teenagers for young adults this is an excellent park to play over the line, without worrying about hitting a baseball into a house or residential truck”

“This is one of our favorite places to visit. Multiple peaceful trails, bridges, educational information to read, and wildlife and nature to observe (both in the day and at night). The moon walks are excellent, as well as the astronomy club's telescopes.Morning strolls with children, family, and friends are so nice. You wouldn't know you are right in the middle of central Lancaster. And how great that the preserve's expansion project will protect more Joshua trees and wildlife. We love seeing the birds, rabbits, and vegetation. There is also a great picnic area and educational center. Such a great place!”
