“There is always an open invitation to join the 1st Pentecostal Church of God in Long Beach on Sundays at 11 AM, and you will always leave happier and spirit-filled when you leave at 1 PM. We are the American Dream for baby and adult Christians. Our Pastor Eddie is also a Chef and his wife Sister Boran work with Autistic children for extra jobs. We have yard sales and do Homeless Outreach. We have baptisms. We always say come as you are - God is love and is no disrespector of persons, we are all God's Children. We accept you whoever you are - even if you don't speak English well, we have some church members from almost everywhere. Everybody is helpful and talented. We are not conventional especially on Holidays, we have games that give prizes, like Double Jeopardy, we have a Luau every Father's Day, we have a Children's Ministry, a choir, and a complete band of teenagers+ that have taught each other musical instruments, Christmas is Amazing - we go out Carroling at Convalescent Hospitals. Best of all we livestream on Facebook so if you miss out on coming too church at least you won't miss God's Word. I am the Bible Reader for the Congregation and occasional Acapella singer. wear your masks and stay safe.”

“No matter your sexual orientation, background, race, previous religious experience or otherwise you will find one of the most genuine and loving families of open-hearted caring people here. This church has in a cozy and welcoming small congregation the talent normally in much larger and richer churches. The music is excellent with world-class talent from the LA and Long Beach opera leading it. The pastor is charismatic, loving, approachable and radiates the love of Christ in his sermons and life-lived. The prayer group on Monday nights connects you with a loving support group who will go with you through your trials and challenges in life. The Bible study on Wednesday is a very approachable and theologically sound packet of weekly encouragement. You will not go wrong checking this place out! If it weren't for these people I would live in a much darker, much more hopeless word.”
