Julie is an amazing designer who does more than bridal veils. We are an LGBTQ+ couple, and were looking for something a little untraditional for men in tuxedos to bring something extra-special to our ceremony. We went in with ideas for a cape to echo a bride’s veil/dress train, and a wearable floral piece to replace a bride’s bouquet.

Julie took our ideas and inspiration, working closely with our wedding planner, and ran with them, offering her expert suggestions on colors and construction along the way. We knew we were in good hands trusting her vision. She created one-of-a-kind custom pieces that not only elevated our wedding looks, but brought tears to our eyes when we saw each other in them, and absolutely astonished our guests.

Not only do the results speak for themselves, but she was an absolute joy to work with. While making decisions about colors and materials, we could talk about travel and Broadway. Honestly, we could’ve stayed all day in her studio chatting and trying on tiaras, but we knew she had to get down to work. Julie delivered on our fantasies and more. Choosing your dress and veil during a pandemic often means shopping alone- hardly the experience a bride dreams of. When I showed up solo, Julie made me feel really comfortable in her adorable little shop. I had no idea what style of veil I wanted and Julie was extremely patient as she suggested I try on style after style from her endless collection of gorgeous veils in a myriad of lengths and styles. As she saw what I was drawn to, Julie narrowed down the choices and in the end, she designed an elegant, simple double layered custom veil that perfectly complimented my dress.
When I was wearing it with one of her beautiful sample veils, she placed a bouquet into my hands, I unexpectedly burst into tears. Julie she handled my outburst of emotion with grace and care, like a loving mom or caring friend and I really appreciated that. Julie also helped me choose some beautiful hair pieces to complete my look. Overall, I was thrilled with how the whole look came together.
