“Best kept secret on the westside! We feel like we won the lottery in finding this school. Incredible new Principle Mary Ann McQueen who came last year from Marymount Highschool after 19 successful years. She has built a top notch staff, including Middle school expert teachers in their field across all subjects and a Teacher Associate program for the lower grades. Because they have a full time Director of Ed Tech our children our getting the individualized learning at their own level through small class sizes. It's TK-8th which when finding the right school is the biggest relief that we don't need to look again in 5 years. Other school programs include instrumental music, lego/robotics, Spanish language immersion, gymnastics, arts&crafts, and athletic teams across the grades. We truly feel that our kids will not only grow intellectually, but will absolutely grow into well rounded young adults who care about their peers and their community. Through the "Peace Builders" program the school adopted, they learn daily how to treat others. And the school has also been accepted into a Service-Learning Program which is essential for our children to be educated about in our very own community. Last but not least the hands on parent community here is incredible. We have built life long friends from the first year we started. I could go on about this school but i just wanted to write a review as i know how hard it was for us to find the right school for our children Come check this out. I promise you it won't disappoint!”

“Victoria's online classes, yoga videos, and community yoga pop-ups are all fantastic. Her fitness philosophy is approachable, fun, and straight up effective. As an instructor, Victoria is accommodating and attentive, and as a human, she is purely genuine. Her online program (which I started mid 2020) changed my entire relationship with exercise and I am so grateful. Could not recommend her or her content more!!!”

“We texted them and asked if they had any openings for that day for the Groupon for 2 people 2 hours. They texted back soon after and told us what time and where. We got there and they were really nice and patient. They even caught a few people who were running late up to speed during the beach portion. Very thorough. Lots of info and individual help. Then we went into the water. They worked tirelessly to take turns helping us to catch waves and encouraging us. Giving extra bits of advice throughout the time in the water. This was a great experience! Highly recommend.”

“My kids have been in Freedom Surf Camp with Gilad and his team of terrific instructors for two summers, and they love it. They’re learning how to surf (and learning about water and sun safety) in a fun, confidence-building environment, surrounded by dedicated teachers. “My experience at Venice High has exceeded my expectations. My daughter is in the STEM Magnet and a Cheerleader and is a straight A student. I believe that her grades this year are in part due to the help the Principal gave to make sure she was in the classes that best worked for her. Since Dr. Wiedoeft arrived, everything has gone up, attendance, graduation, testing scores, safety, and more. I am glad that we chose Venice.”

“We started our daughter on reading when this was a Kumon center. We didn't know what to expect with First Class Learning but because we have had such a positive experience with Andrew, we kept with it. The transition was a little rocky as our daughter didn't want to do the joined writing. Andrew was supportive and the instructors worked with her at her pace and it is now a non-issue. She is enjoying the writing part and I feel that she is getting a more in-depth understanding of grammar and spelling. I've also noticed that since she's been doing the First Class Learning curriculum, she seems to have more confidence in trying to spell things on her own. She doesn't always get it correct, but makes great guesses that make complete sense. To illustrate her progress as best I can, I can tell you our daughter is 5 and began learning to read about a year ago. Now she will sit down and read books to herself and her little sister. I'm not certain what "level" she is reading at but my best description is that she can read Berenstain Bear books on her own and most of those are listed on the Scholastic books website as being at around grade three reading level. In my opinion, the curriculum is interesting but what really makes this place worth while is Andrew and his team of instructors. ”
