“Give 3 thumbs up if I have an extra, and beyond 5 stars! It’s rare that you’re so excited to meet doctor(s). I literally left her office with a huge relief, and smiled. During my first visit, Dr. Ounis made sure to address any concerns, and needs. She is professional, prompt, and very caring about her patient. Also I can’t thank enough for all the staffs are being very professional, helpful, and efficient.”

“I badly need a certified electrician today. I called this electrical repair company and they came out early to help me with my time expectations. They did the service perfectly and everything satisfies me. They were able to do the installation on time. I will tell all my friends about this service and will highly recommend this company to everyone.”

“Saif Kabir is very patient, technologically knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend him. After getting my second set of hearing aids from him I moved about fifty miles away from American Audiology’s Granada Hills location. No problem, I’ll just find a local audiologist for cleaning, maintenance, etc. Wrong. I soon found out that having Saif to go to with my hearing problems was worth the 100 mile round trip.”

“I can’t say enough amazing and incredible things about the extremely talented eye doctor/surgeon, Dr. Mitra Nejad!!! In short, I was living a complete nightmare for 9 months because of a botched cataract surgery. Before that procedure I wore +1.50 low grade prescription glasses for reading, to barely being able to see. My life changed 100% and to say I was miserable is a gross understatement. During those 9 months I did everything I could to find help, I was desperate. My journey was long because I couldn’t find a doctor who knew how to fix my eyesight. Some said it couldn’t be done without “completely losing your eyesight” and the rest said it couldn’t be done… period. Finally one very well respected ophthalmologist told me I was completely screwed and that if it could be fixed it would have to be by a “damn good surgeon”. He then referred me to The Stein Institute at UCLA followed by “that’s where you’ll find some of the best in the country”. That is when my luck changed… the day I met Dr. Mitra Nejad at The Stein Institute/UCLA Medical Center. Professional, caring, highly skilled, highly intelligent, and she knew she could perform this surgery with absolute certainty. Flash forward 3 months, I now have 20/20 vision… don’t need glasses or contacts!!! I am so incredibly blessed to have found her and I’m living proof of her unique skills and what she can do for others. I will never forget this remarkable woman.”

“Helpful. Safe. Health a priority. Thankful. For those with mental health issues that come here for anxiety and already have a therapist they work with, if you accidentally say too much, they will call DPS officers to handcuff you and then send you off somewhere. You will be put in hand cuffs and shipped off somewhere. It would have been better for me to be alone, go back to my apartment with my roommate, done therapy, the next week, and then hoped for the best. The university wants nothing to do with a student in need in a circumstance like this nor will they follow up or make comment, and you and your family (Mom and Dad, or both, will have to deal with everything afterwards). We're not upset about this, just there has to be a better system to help students that are having a hard time. Many people that are having a hard time refuse help and suffer in silence anyways. My family did not deserve the concern they had to have by sending me to some psych facility nor did the medication at Las Encinas really resolve anything. Also for reference I understood I was LGBTQ+ at the beginning of university at my time beginning in Spring of 2015 so I should have just come out or began to find peers so I can speak of this comfortably and feel okay.”

“I came to Spark to Recovery and found a family of support. Little did I know in terms of recovery, but with participation each day in groups I began filling my tool kit with strategies and skills. The staff is welcoming and were always willing to guide us. I always felt heard and supported.”
