“Small and quiet. This library has a small free parking lot with a guard out front. The librarians are nice too! Unfortunately they don't seem to have enough room compared to other libraries which causes most of their used books section to be kept hidden behind closed doors. Service is great! The ambiance is quiet.”

“Beautiful building and gardens surrounding. I went to visit the interiors but it was closed for a special occasion and it seems that you need an appointment. The website isn’t that informative for visitors but I would like to return.”

“I am reviewing the VITA service at this location. Online reservation was user friendly. The email confirmation contains all the important information especially what to bring with me which made the tax preparation process went very smoothly. Love the location at the Sun Valley Public Library, easy parking and visible direction where to find VITA. Jill at the front desk is very friendly. Once she knows it is my first time coming to VITA, she gives detail explanation the process is going to be and all the forms I need to fill out. She even comes by the table and make sure everything is ok. Sona P. is my tax preparer. She is very efficient and professional! Melissa is the supervisor who does the final step my tax return. She is very organized. Super happy that I found VITA! They filed my tax return in less than 30 minutes. Thank you for the excellent service. All your staffs are amazing! I will see you next year.”

“Great staff to come across after not going to this library after a long while. Since we would go to la libraries. But glad we came, the kids got free activity kits. I was helped in getting an actual library card since I just had a digital card online and able to check out books 📚”

“Loved it. Not the greatest selection of books, but I was able to find something after a lot of searching. I found mostly reference books and kid's stuff for school.”

“This library is one of if not the best resource for legal issues I found. They have several self-help resources and all of the employees I spoke with were well-informed. I spoke to different lawyers here and each of them helped to answer my questions. It is crucial to be informed in laws and your rights since a lot of people will tell you that something within your rights is “against the law” in ignorance so it is worthwhile to inform yourself in a place like this library. Knowledge is power and I am grateful for a place like this library that makes legal resources easily accessible. You are able to do 2 free sessions a year and they also have plenty of resources outside of that as well. I took part in zoom sessions, in-person sessions, phone calls and received answers sooner than lots of the other resources I was using before finding them. I would like to thank Roberta Ponce, Stephanie Osorio, and Nicholas for their knowledge and time. Also, compared to other places they were the most responsive. It is in downtown LA and the parking is available in several locations one of the closest is 221 W 2nd St and that parking lot is about 3 minute walk away, they have an entrance on broadway”

“I got these flyers from the library about the hours and the perks of having a library card. The staff is nice and the building has great AC. There are free books outside for who want them. I like that most of the people I saw inside were college students like me, working on homework.”

“This is the first library that insists people be quiet. Me had planned to talk on my phone like so many people do. Rotten luck. They have phone charging station in the lobby next to guard too. Plenty of parking.”

“What is there to say about VKC? It's like reviewing.. water. You use it all the time, don't think of it much, and probably take it for granted. But VKC deserves some credit for the many memories you'll develop here. Many liberal arts classes call VKC home. I took language classes (Chinese and Korean) here, as well as a history class and several others I'm not remembering right now. The building is unlocked at night, so you can come in after 7 or so to study. Plenty of other people have the same idea, though, especially around finals, so you may have to look elsewhere. There's always the library. You can also book rooms here for student organizations; it's a popular location given the availability of rooms and the proximity to freshman dorms. Somewhere in the late 2000s or early 2010s they upgraded the furniture to comfortable, ergonomic chairs and clean white desks. They're very comfortable. Unfortunately, many of the rooms aren't large enough to accommodate the furniture. VKC was built when USC had far fewer students and, let's be honest, obesity has increased quite a bit since then. The facilities aren't exactly spectacular. The building feels worn-out, and the arches dated. The globe tower is a symbol of USC, though, and it's a nice way to get your bearings when you're lost in your first days of freshman year. Even if you're studying engineering, you'll probably spend time here working on your General Education requirements. You might as well enjoy it.”

“Designed by the same architect as the Griffith Observatory, John C. Austin! This library is an old one floor and small library when compared to others in the area. Still a relatively quiet place to read and work, when children aren't running around ;)”

“Awesome place. Nice looking building, packed with books. A ton of activities to do during the week. Story time on Tuesdays, sticking class game day. A bunch for the whole family to do. Plus knowledge is power so u can't knock down a library for being what it is.”

“There are new computers and keyboards which I am glad to see. However, the only reason 5 stars isn't given is because the seats need to be replaced as well. It's uncomfortable using a computer in where one can't adjust the seat to accommodate posture. Other than that, good looking library. Staff member assisted me with the printer and wearing a mask was enforced.”
