“Helen is incredibly gifted and the QUEEN of qi paos. She has been in this business for a long time and her beautiful work shows it! She was so sweet and kind to me and my husband. She made us feel like family!! We designed my qipao together. I explained to her what style I wanted and she took my vision and created the most BEAUTIFUL dress! It is completely custom and fit perfectly to my body shape. We chose the fabric for my husband’s magua and she customized it to his style as well. Not only was her service incredible but the qipao and magua are amazing quality! I was soo comfortable the whole night and so was my husband. The silk she uses is beautiful, luxurious quality! “Best Bun Bo Hue in town!!! Bun Bo Hue is the recommended bowl of noodle soup on the menu. You can order a small or large bowl. I personally like to order the large bowl but substitute the bun noodle with pho noodle. I highly recommend you try it. Just order Pho Bo Hue instead of Bun Bo Hue. The pho noodle offers a chewy texture which I like. I decline the cooked pork blood cubes which it comes with and opt for an extra pig knuckle instead. Don't forget to ask for the complimentary egg roll. They also have one of best shrimp egg rolls in town!!! The Bun Bo Hue soup is just plain delicious with authentic Vietnamese flavor. Be sure to add the veggies (thin cut lettuce, cabbage, bean sprout and spear mint) and let them soak in the hot soup. Squeeze some lemon into the bowl and enjoy a delicious bowl of sliced beef, pig knckles and pho noodle soup. Perfect for the blizzard cold weather that's been blanketing SoCal. The restaurant is cozy with seating inside and patio seating outside. Parking is limited inside the plaza so street parking is recommended. Restaurant closes at 6pm on weekdays and 8pm on weekends. The owner and staff are friendly and nice. This is one of my favorite restaurants.”

“Angela and her team were so great to work with! I sent her some photos of what I wanted to look like, and Angela replicated exactly what I wanted on the first try. It was literally perfect! I have thick, red curly hair, which is very difficult to work with, but Angela was able to work with it so easily and give me exactly what I wanted. She also used some of my own products that match my red hair and fair skin. On my wedding day, Angela and her team showed up on time, and we even finished early, which allowed me to relax a little before getting dressed. She even gave me a touchup kit that I could use later in the day to make sure my makeup stayed flawless for all my photos. Armie and Kasie did hair and makeup for my family members, and they were also amazing to work with. We all ended up getting false lashes because they looked so great when Angela put them on me! My family and I had such a fun experience with Angela and her team, and I highly recommend her for your wedding, or any other event.”

“Amazing place to buy dried chinese herbs and imported snacks and foods. I started coming here as a kid with my mom, and now they’ve expanded to a fresh veggie section. You can do a Chinese medicine consultation (TCM) or acupuncture in the herb section in the back of the store. They also have lots of grains that are used by western people, such as quinoa, oats, barely, millet, sesame, packaged unsalted nuts, etc. Great prices compared to the big fancy markets.”

Lodged in several places along our journey including Airbnb, Comfort Suites ($210/night), roadway motel, and this Garvey Inn wins out with its spacious room, comfortable bed, room service, 24 hr surveillance for security, and cheaper price. Owner is a Taiwanese who established this place and has been running it for 40 years.”

“As a former student and now a current First Avenue student, I would say my K-5 experience here is nice. People sometimes confuse me for something, but I always will have a good time. The place is "inviting," and the principal (which I know even though I left), is very welcoming. The teachers have been nice, and have been challenging, but the only problem is that the structures are a little outdated, which causes me to bore EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to this school I would say that is is good, and my friends still miss me. Fun fact: the assemblies in this school are very good, and the homework is very moderate. It is that the Vikings don't use Norse Code (pun intended.)”

My wife and I didn’t want an ordinary party with the kids playing video games. We were embraced by Dereks remarkable charisma when we got to our event.
