“Awesome place for hiking and getting a nice view of the city. Pretty dry this time of year, but still nice. The trails were very clear and easy to follow. Trail difficulties varied. Our only issue was some tar we saw, and we ended up sliding in it passing through the trail. Just watch for muddy spots because it may be sticky tar.”

“This is always a nice park to visit nature. The nature center has educational amimal displays with a gift shop, bathrooms, etc. They even have a few live birds in large cages on display, amazing! For those animal lovers that don't like animals in captivity, these birds were rescued from injuries obtained in the wild and cannot be returned to their habitat. This place also has some nice trails that can be picked up from the nature center. Took off a star because about half the trails are still shutdown from the fire a few years ago, habitat restoration, etc. A stop by is highly recommended!”

“A gem of a wildness park on the southern boundary of Santa Clarita. Miles of hiking trails through beautiful riparian landscapes, a narrow, steep-walled canyon and even bubbling tar pits. The views of the Santa Clarita Valley from the top are unparalleled. Good for mountain biking also, but be warned it is for advanced riders only. The outer loop trail is a fairly strenuous 5.1 miles, but well worth the effort. Allow 2 hours if you are hiking and bring the whole family!”

“Nice quite place for a walk. I always enjoy seeing the wildlife and wild flowers in spring. There is often a small stream of water in the riverbed surrounded by oak trees. The burned out trees make a beautiful contrast with the fresh growth and wild flowers.”
