“This park is a hidden gem. It's quiet and ideal for socially distanced outdoor activities. There's many sport courts: tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball. There's also a playground, horse arenas, picnic areas, clean restrooms, little free community library, and much more. This peaceful park gives access to charming hiking and horse riding trails. The lawns are very well kept.”

And full moon hikes once a month at night. The nature center itself displays many species of local animals and critters ( and reptiles). Great place for the kids. They even have story telling time there a few times a year. ”

Linden H. Chandler Preserve

Park

“There were a lot more hills than I expected! Every review said easy, I guess... Maybe I just have weak lungs. I had to stop to catch my breath after some of those hills! Will definitely be back. Lovely place.”

Vista Del Norte Reserve

Address: Crenshaw Blvd & Indian Peak Rd, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90275, USA

Park

“We used to call parts of it Von's Hill.. It was a big shortcut for those of us who live up by Ridgecrest Intermediate school . It was a shortcut to either the mall or the high school. Right in the middle of the preserve was a little "fort" someone dug into the hill. Looks like someone used to sleep there from time to time. You couldn't see it from anywhere unless you already knew it was there. Anyhow great views. They call it a preserve until they can figure a way to build homes in that area. The dirt is so soft there I'd imagine it would be pretty risky wanting to live in that area.”
