“I began voice lessons with Marla Kavanaugh in 2013 when she was offering group lessons for Start Singing which she led. She created a warm, comfortable and safe environment for us. Shortly thereafter, I began taking private voice lessons with her. She has offered me warm, gentle instruction to unlock my voice and soothe my fears. She is able to adjust her teaching style to what works for the individual student. She is an expert in explaining things in different ways to find what clicks for you. Marla is extremely knowledgeable about vocal training and continually finds ways to encourage her students. In addition her patience and excitement about reaching her students makes her an excellent choice as a voice teacher! I highly recommend her. Under her tutelage, I have improved my breath support, tempo, and pronunciation. In addition, I have also improved my feeling, phrasing, vocal range, vowel shape , stage presence as well as my self confidence. Marla Kavanaugh is a good fit for students of any age or level.”
