Camped there last night...they literally just opened the campsite yesterday. Trail is hard to get to. Need a 4x4 or Jeep. Large rocks on the trail in addition to two parts of a rather large tree that fell on the trail. We had to do work to get by...you get the point now on what I am saying. Once we got there the place did not disappoint. Would have given a 5 except for the pesky nats...there were a lot. No problem with wind. It actually died down at night, and picked up in the morning. Still not bad. Plenty of space, shared the campground with all the PCT'rs making their trek. Will definitely head back.
Beautiful....... Very nice spot it's not that easy to get here but it's worth it to stay that way...
It's my favorite campsite I've found so far. The wind picks up around 7pm and doesn't let up until about 6 am the next morning. Bring a jacket even in the middle of July. It's open pit for bathrooms and no running water. Still my favorite.
Pretty damn quiet if you're looking for a quiet place to stay with your family
Quiet, secluded and clean campground with an AMAZING view of the landscape. Far from a road so people tend not to go up there too often. Please if you go up there keep it quiet and clean for others to enjoy.
