“I see Meghan regularly and have made good progress with her in overcoming a long-standing gait dysfunction. Plus, she is so cheery and the sessions are so relaxing I love going to see her. Very price effective, too!”

“We first went to Alexandra to assess my son’s learning disabilities when he was a high school junior. When I first spoke with her on the phone she asked me to tell her about my son. I probably went on for a solid five minutes without taking a breath, at which point, she said “I get it”. What relief I felt; none of the judgey, pitying sounding ‘hmmms’ or ‘oh’s’ that I’d heard from others that had no concept of the difficulties we had. When you have a kid that functions “outside of the box”- it brings up every emotion in the world. You wonder who you can trust with their well-being and your own, frankly. Alexandra is that person. She is reassuring, crazy-smart, non-judgmental, relatable, insightful, unflappable, trust worthy- all with a healthy sense of humor. Her support and expertise were invaluable while we worked together to bring my son’s school and teachers on board with his accommodations. She then saw us (separately & together) for a few counseling sessions. She’s like the family practitioner of psychology. Then lightning struck again because Alexandra is also an Independent College Counselor. We had already met with another excellent college counselor although she didn’t have a lot of experience with students with LD’s. We ended up using some info from our first counselor with what Alexandra offered. She objectively considered my son’s intellect, personality and skills while assuaging my anxiety. She considered our parental needs as well as my son’s and added schools to our list that we wouldn’t have known about. She has an enormous skill set as a psychologist, parent of college students and writing coach. My kid wrote an amazing essay by meeting with her, writing and rewriting under her guidance and shazam! It was golden. Best of all, I had no responsibility for it; it was his process with Alexandra’s support. As a student athlete he was accepted to ALL of his schools- early action. He then had plenty of time to visit and consider, meet with coaches and make a confident decision. I have given personal recommendations for Alexandra to at least a half dozen people. While my recommendations were heartfelt and confident before my son started college, I would recommend her even more highly now that he is three months in. He is thriving and happy and we owe much of this to Alexandra.”
